Ateez (Mingi)- Its been a year already

It was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend soon so I wanna write something cute and fluffy based on that. It is a non idol (slightly supernatural) au btw. Hope you guys enjoy! Sorry I haven't been writing, I just got back from a trip to the beach and I've been working on my fmp for college. Writing is gonna be a little slow until around mid May but any requests that I've gotten will still be remembered for when I get chance to write so don't worry :)

It was so strange, knowing it had been a year already. It felt like Y/n had known Mingi forever. They just connected on a level that neither of them had ever felt before. It was almost like both boys were designed specifically to be together, like the universe created them for each other and no one else.

The two often thought back on how they met. It was pretty cliche and even they admitted that. They met at an ice cream parlour. Y/n had ordered a cone with biscoff and bubblegum, a very odd flavour combination but he had clearly had it before. Mingi was behind him in the queue. The parlour wasn't too busy that day so it was just him waiting. He overheard the boys order and the way he spoke with the woman behind the counter. He must have been a regular from the way the two spoke.

When it was Mingi's turn to be served, he asked for something that was somehow more unusual than the order before his.
"Uh could I have a mint and strawberry milkshake please?"
The woman smiled before looking toward Y/n who had sat down at one of the tables.
"Hey Y/n, I've finally seen someone order something stranger than your usual."
Mingi blushed, a little embarrassed. He looked over at the other boy in the parlour and the moment their eyes locked, it was like the universe stopped for just a moment. Neither of them really believed in love at first sight but the feelings they felt were unexplainable. It was like they had both found a missing piece to a puzzle they never thought they'd complete.

After that moment, the two were almost inseparable. It was unusual to see one without the other. Surprisingly, the two lived quite close together and even went to the same university. Everything seemed to align just perfectly for them to be together.

For their on year, it only seemed right to recreate the day they met. They walked into the parlour together, ordering their strange items before sitting down at the same table they sat at a year ago.
"I can't believe it's been a year."
Y/n said, gazing lovingly into Mingi's eyes.
"I know! It feels like I've known you forever."
The two felt at home with each other, perfectly at peace.

The cashier glanced over at the two and smiled, they'd never know it but she had seen them get together in many lifetimes. Their souls had been tied together since their creation and would spend the rest of eternity finding their way back to each other. No matter how far they were, what bodies they were in, the universe somehow found a way to bring them together. It was a love than some could only dream of having, hand crafted by life itself.

This ones a little short but I felt bad that I haven't been on here in a while. Hope you all enjoyed it.
