katy's p.o.v

Once I'm out of the cafeteria I run in to the girls toilet. he won't look for me in here  I think to myself,  but even if he did it would be a win win. I close the doar behind me and see my reflection in the mirror.

My long brunette hair was a mess so I ran my fingers in it like a comb trying to make me look less like the undead, but my big bushy eyebrows had already done the job. They meet in the middle and do a weird zigzag line which annoys me.

I frown at my reflection and consider clipping them soon but Jackson said that it was one of his favorite things about me. For some weird reason he likes bushy eyebrows, but honestly it's not like he would notice if I get rid of it. He probably just said that to make me feel less insecure around him. But one thing I'm sure he didn't lie about was my full pink lips. It's my favorite feature and so is his.

It didn't look like he was coming so I decided to go to him instead. Before I exited the toilet I heard a voice in one of the stools. It sounded like a girl crying. I follow the sound and knocked softly.

"you okay in there?" I ask slowly

"umm...ya katy is that you?" she said and it was Maggie.

Oh no I was too occupied on myself I forgot about her. I'm a horrible bestfriend. She probably found out.

"Can I come in?" I ask worried about her. I've never seen her cry. Only that time her mom and dad got a divorce 4 years ago.

"ya sure." she said hesitating at first.

I opened the doar and see her sitting on the toilet seat, & used tissues were all around her. I kick the tissues to the corner and make place for me to kneel down. As I kneel I see her face for the first time. Her gorgeous green eyes which I envy are wet from all the crying & her cheeks a deep shade of pink. But her long wavy blond hair was right in place and perfect as always.

She still looked like the prom queen even in that state.

"you heard?" I ask finally finding my voice.

"you knew?" she snapped her expression changing quickly from sad to surprised.

Typical Maggie.  Now I feel more comfortable. I'm usually not so good at comforting people but with Maggie it was different. Mostly because I find her easier to talk to than most of the people I know.

"ya. I heard the 'gg's' talking about it in chemistry class." I say softly.

The gg's are the major 'gossip girls' at our school. They're a clique of 3 and know almost everything about everyone. Maggie and them don't get along that much. But no matter how much they hate each other one thing is for sure that even Maggie can't deny The gossip girls don't start  false rumours

It's like a day time job for them. They don't just believe everything they hear and talk about it. Their reputation is big so they're very carefull.

ya the srory might get twisted when more people talk and some get it wrong but if it's directly from them it's always true. If anyone is worred that their bf/gf is cheating, no need to go through all the old fashion going through his/her phone,  following him/her around  blah blah.In a way they make highschool life way easier. But ofcorse they'll want something in return from the info they give you, and sometimes just like today they just blabber around for the attention. Like they need more. And Maggie was the perfect prey.

"Ofcorse those little bitches." she says turning mad now. "Why do they know everything?"

"Because they're little bitches." I said.
