~~~I drove through the busy streets of Las Vegas, thinking back to how I even got here. I remember what it was like growing up knowing that you aren't alone even when you think you are, and whenever you tried to tell anyone, they would laugh tauntingly. As thoughts of my childhood overflow in my mind, my sixth sense kicks in, and I punch the brakes.
I look up, at the stoplight. Red. I watch as the other cars hurriedly make their way across the intersection of the strip. As soon as all the cars had made their way, I looked up. Green. I hit the gas and began making my way to the apartment that I had begun renting two months ago.
I park my yellow Jeep in the parking garage and get my groceries out of the passengers' seat. Then, I walk up to the elevator door and hit the going upwards button. I heard the dull chime of the elevator signaling that it was here. I stepped into the elevator and clicked the button for floor 14.
I find my apartment door, and unlock it with my key. I begin walking into my humble abode, admiring the white walls, and the well-placed furniture. I set the plain brown paper bag on the white marble countertop with a thud, and then unload my groceries.
As soon as I finish unloading, I set down my bag, kick my shoes off and head for the couch. I turned on the show Ghost Adventures. I had been watching this show for quite some time now, and I'm not gonna lie, I like it. [Especially the Lead Investigator ;) ]
I watched at least seven episodes before I glanced at the clock and realized that it was 11 P.M. "Oh god, I have work tomorrow, I better get to bed." I said to myself, getting off of the couch and walking into my bathroom.
~~~The annoying sound of my alarm clock screeched throughout the once peaceful silence of my room. I sluggishly make an effort and slap the top of my alarm clock multiple times, making it stop. I roll out of bed and scoot my bare feet against the floor into the bathroom. The shower I took was really waking me up. After the shower, I got dressed in a black ACDC t-shirt, with a white jacket, some skinny jeans, and some black high-top converses. I walk over to my jewelry case and put in some tiny golden hoops and a golden necklace with a small lightning bolt in the middle. After this, I went to the kitchen and made some breakfast. Captain Crunch, you are my best friend, I thought to myself as I steadily ate my cereal, watching the busy streets of Sin City.
I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 8: 23 A.M. I quickly brush my teeth and grab my bag and leave. I went down to the parking space where my car was parked, unlocked it, and hopped in.
I pulled out of the parking garage and began driving on the strip. Once more I found myself wrapped up in my thoughts of remembrance of my past, thinking back to a time when things weren't easy, but they were simple. Every once in a while I would glance off to the side to see if I can turn, but for the most part, I didn't pay attention. What I didn't notice was how I was rapidly accelerating, causing me to be unprepared for the next stoplight. I see the wretched intersection and SLAM the breaks. I lurched forward and came to an abrupt stop. Making me first in the line. I take some deep breaths and slow down my heart rate. As soon as the other cars are done crossing, I see the green light.
I lightly tapped the gas and looked pulled out into the middle of the intersection. I glance over to my left, and there is this black Porsche in a panic and going at least 70. I try to get out of the way, but before I knew it, I was out.

~~~My eyes flutter open, I observe that I am not in my room, and I immediately jump up in shock in my bed. I see the IV on my wrist. My vision slowly looks moves in the direction of my right arm. I see the cast. What do I even think? How am I supposed to think? My arm is broken! How did I get here? As I observed this cast around my forearm, I see a man in a white coat entering the room.
"Ms. Monroe?" He said.
"Sir?" I said.
"How are you feeling?" He asked
"I'm not sure, what happened?" I asked in return.
"Ms. Monroe, you got into a car crash, the person who crashed into you hit you on the right side at high speed. You are very lucky for only breaking your forearm. This kind of thing happens rarely under these circumstances." The Doctor stated.
"Wow," I said.
"Hey, Doc, can you give me a minute?" I asked.
"Sure, just click the nurse button on the side of your bed and one of the nurses will come to assist you." He replied with a smile. He turned and then he left.
I tried to process all of this at once, but I wasn't capable. I end up falling back asleep.
~~~My eyes yet again opened from my sleep, only to find out that this was indeed not a dream, but reality. I sat up on my bed and saw somebody sitting in the corner with their hood up and wasn't moving.
"𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤?" I asked, feeling eerie... and kinda scared I don't even know this guy.
The man groans, sits up, and slowly looks my way.
"You're awake?" The man asked In a deep voice.
"Do I know you?" I asked, kinda scared.
"It's possible." He said with a chuckle.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I just wanted to apologize, that's all." He said calmly, getting up off of his chair.
The man stood up, revealing his tall 6 ft figure. Then he took off his hood, revealing his face. I could recognize that face from a mile away. It was the Lead Investigator for Ghost adventures, 𝙕𝙖𝙠 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙨.
