  My eyes had opened from my sleep and I grabbed my phone. I turn on my phone and see that I have one new message. I then unlock my phone and look at the message.

"miss u" - Ashley

  Did she mean to send that to me? If so, that's cute.

  If not, that's understandable, she was probably meant to send that to her mom or something.

  I get out of bed and walk downstairs to make breakfast. I end up making a fried egg sandwich with the bread being toasted to perfection and butter golden. The eggs were runny, just like I liked them, and they were still hot too. I ate the whole thing and another. I sure was hungry. I went back to the kitchen and cleaned up my mess, I put the pan in the dishwasher and the spatula in there as well, along with the porcelain plate I ate off of.

  I decided that I should brush my teeth before I work out this morning, so I did. I come back downstairs and head to my gym. I start with stretches and then focus mainly on my chest for today. I do 10 reps of 225, then 7 reps of 275, and back to 10 reps of 225 on the bench press. And then with the Decline Smith Machine Press, I do 10 reps of 270, then 10 reps of 320, and then another 10 reps of 270 again. And finally, I do some pec flye, I do 3 sets, 10 reps, with varying weights.

  After that, I go back to the kitchen and grab a protein shake. I open the plastic wrapping on the edges and then crack the lid open. I chug water with it and take deep breaths in-between.

 I pull out my phone and I wonder what Ashley is doing. So, I Facetime her.

*answers*

  Ashley: Zak, are you aware it's 5 in the morning.

  Zak: Fully, rise and shine sweetheart

  Ashley: *Groans* You could have called me at any better time, I'm a mess *she laughs*

  Zak: That's alright, me too.

  Ashley: Why are you so sweaty?

  Zak: I was working out, duh. I gotta stay in shape somehow.

  Ashley: Well, hope you had fun, I was busy SLEEPING until you interrupted me.

  Zak: Are you sleeping on your couch?

  Ashley: Hmmm.... no? *she fake smiles*

  Zak: You don't have to lie to me.

  Ashley: I know.

  Zak: *laughs*

  Ashley: *smiles*

  Zak: From what I recall, we have a date tonight.

  Ashley: From what I recall, I don't remember calling it a "date".

  Zak: Well, do you want it to be?

  Ashley: Why not? *she smiles and laughs*

  We had several more conversations after this and then I expressed that I needed to take a shower and get ready for the day.

  We said our farewells and I hung up. Then, I went upstairs and got ready.

  While I was up there, I laid out what I was going to wear on our date to the lake. I chose a black Button up shirt with a black velvet jacket with it. I paired that with some black jeans and some black shoes.

  It's a lot of black, I know. But whenever you're investigating all the time, camouflage is the ideal moment we're all going for.

  I head down the stairs and see Nick on the couch.
