Ahsoka and Master Sai proceeded to penetrate deeper into the wood. Massive trunks of trees towered over them. Hanging from one trunk was several Wookiees, strung up with chains. Ahsoka looked at the furry titans, lifeless. She shook her tendril head, and looked away. Master Sai walked up to the lifeless Wookiee and held up his hand which stretched beyond his white robed cuffs. A white light beginning to swirl around his extended fingers. The Trogruta had moved on and paid this action no heed. She sat on a felled branch. Master Sai caught up and took a seat on the large limb.
"What troubles you?"
Ahsoka looked up at the Master Jedi.
"I am beginning to think this all was a bad idea."
Master Sai removed his hood once more.
"We can only do our part. In the end The Force will decide if it is enough."
Ahsoka shook her head.
"What is the point? The Jedi win, The Sith, then it repeats. Its why I left the Order, its futile."
Master Sai sighed.
"That's not true. You left because the Council broke your trust and believed a lie. And yet we all believed a lie, the lie of the Clone Wars, that friends we made would stay true, and the Republic we believed in would stand. All of us were decieved."
The Trogruta huffed.
"And yet we place hope in this child. The Son of Skywalker. I walked this road before with The Chosen One, who was suppose to Bring Balance to the Force, and now see what he has become."
Master Sai nodded.
"That is the risk of faith. People don't always measure up to our expectations. I am at odds with Master Kenobi and Master Yoda, I believe Anakin still has some purpose to serve, even in this dark form."
Ahsoka shook her head.
"I can't believe that! Anakin is dead. There is only a machine, and heartless circuitry."
The Master Jedi paused.
"If that is is what you wish to believe. I see a broken man who lost all he loved by trying to save it."
The Trogruta rose from the branch and said, "We have a little further to go. After you meet him, We go our seperate ways."
Master Sai nodded.
"So be it."

A black ship came out of hyperspace over Kashyyyk, its nose a two prong spikes that tore into the atmosphere like a spear. The ship landed on a wooden landing pad and a ramp lowered. A figure in black robes descended and was met by an Imperial Officer and Stormtroopers.
"Greetings, we received your transmission. Priority One. The ship crashed on the lower surface."
Anule took a breath and then sniffed.
"I sense the Jedi. Make sure your men are ready."
The Officer raised an eyebrow.
"Ready for what?"
Anule said in a whisper, "war."
