The phone was still where it was left,people gathered around and the news crews who now had tents set up were hanging around in the back. They knew nothing would be coming on soon,but this man gave them hope,gave them a story. But as they were told Jax wasn't there to riddle them with his tales,yet they waited. Now we switch to Jax."We need to go Jane,that's the last we could tell them. We need to enter the lab." Jane simply nodded and lifted her rifle following Jax,Ace also followed the two in sniffing the air then wagging his tail. Jane spoke"Ace has the scent of something" She quickly followed the running dog and motioned for Jax to follow behind. " I hope he's right" Jax didn't wait and followed. Ace stopped at a fridge and barked at it wagging his tail furiously. Jane opened it and was surprised at the items inside"Fresh food? This isn't good..." Jax looked around"Maybe everyone is gone." "Or dead" jane said as she tossed ace a big slab of meat. The. A loud rumbling came from the lower areas. Kane stepped forward and started going down."Be careful" she called to jax hearing him follow behind." Ace darted forward after finishing the meat and yelped when he reached the bottom.Jane followed"What is it bo-" she was interrupted by a loud screech by the strange creature standing before her. Jax entered and didn't hesitate and started shooting"Don't stop moving! Keep going around it!" Jane ran the opposite direction also shooting the beast, Ace layed in the stair well.Jax started to shoot with one hand and using his magic with the other shooting different beams of energy at the beast. Jane stood her ground and fired faster, Jax took the opportunity and fired a large electric charge stunning the beast,Jane ran up it's back and started to shoot the glowing crystal attached to it's back. Jax came closer and started to use his bayonet To try and remove it from the ground. The best woke up and started thrashing about wildly. Jane drew her knife and stabbed it into the beasts back holding on to it. She continues to try and snap the crystal. Jax was stabbing the body of the creature , it started to shoot poison at jax and continued to thrash around trying to remove jane. Jax climbed up the body using his bayonet and stabbed it through the creatures mouth. Jane attached her knife to the long barrel of her rifle and drilled it into the creature finally killing it. Jax spoke"Nice work,but I fear that's not the worst we are gonna see out here." Jane nodded and started to tear off the creatures scales and scooping the essence from the crystal."What are you doing?" Jane replied"We can make armor and use this to enhance our abilities." Jax nodded and checked around the building from what they checked so far."We should rest here for the night." Jax lowered his rifle and dragged down two beds from upstairs."These should do" Jax removed his armor and layed down. Jane continued to work on creating the new armor as Ace and jax slept.
