"Mikey, stop being such a wimp."
Today, the gang and I were roaming around the town. It was past sunset but none of us really cared, nor did my parents...
Anyways, we decided to ditch the skateboards and leave them at Michael's house. Right now, we were simply just goofing around and causing mischief.
"I'm not ding-dong ditching Mr. Mitch's house!" He protested. Everyone broke into laughter, except Micheal, who was annoyed by most of our presences.
"Fine, fine. What do you suppose we do for fun then?" Vinny sneered, giving a sarcastic grin.
"Something legal." He scoffed.
"That's so boring." Jeremy spoke from the back. I, for one, did not want to get the police called on me so I decided it was time for me to intervene with this conversation.
"I agree with Michael, for once. Let's do something that won't get us arrested."
"Ding-dong ditching won't get us arrested." Vinny mumbled, obviously complaining about our opinions.
"With all the shit you've done, yes. It will." Michael snorted. I raised a brow at the comment but decided to question him later. I just hope I'm not hanging out with people who've actually committed real crimes.
"Ugh, whatever. Can we meet somewhere in between?"
"What do you have in mind..?" Michael asked skeptically.
"Oh, nothing. Just sneaking into Freddy's-"
"No."
"Wait, why not? Your dad owns the place so we can't even get in trouble." I turned to face the stubborn teen.
"Because he tells me to never go in there when it's dark." Michael gave us a slight shutter, which managed to send shivers down my spine. What's that supposed to mean?
"Um, creepy much? Since when do you listen to your old man? C'mon, we'll be quiet." Vinny nudged Michael's elbow to which he did not move. The others seemed to agree with Vinny while I was still wrapping my head around the concept.
"Why do you even want to go in there? Aren't you creeped out by those suits from last time?" Michael suggested, which reminded me why I always refused to go in there with them since that day they told me.
It's been about a week since, but I have not forgotten. The memory still haunts my mind and I'm unable to forget it. Now, I could agree with Michael's protest. That place was worse than creepy.
"Nah. That happened so long ago, Mikey...Are you scared?"
"Scared of my dad..." He muttered, barely audible for me to hear. But I still caught on. What did he mean by that? Why are they all being so shady?!
"Aww, Mike's scared!" Fritz teased, making the others join in on the laughter. I was the only one who held a straight face.
"No I'm not! Fine. Whatever, let's go." Once Michael gave in, we all followed behind Vinny who led us to Freddy's. Which just so happened to be right across the street.
Micheal walked beside me but he seemed just as scared as I was. I was considering talking to him about it, but he managed to beat me to conversation.
"Stay close to me...I have a bad feeling." He murmured, only making it audible for me to hear. I nodded my head in agreement and he gave me a look of content.
Once we crossed the street, Micheal showed us to the back of the pizzeria. One of the windows was unlocked and I began to question how he even knew that. But we all followed in after him silently as we entered one of the backrooms, Vinny occasionally teasing Scott since he was scared.
"So...why did you even wanna go in here again?" I sighed, trying my best to seem bored when I was genuinely frightened.
"We've snuck in here a couple years ago and we managed to get the animatronics to do some weird shit. C'mon." Vinny chuckled as he waved for us to follow.
Thankfully, it was only 9 PM so the night guard wasn't in for his shift yet as I was told, the only person we had to watch for was Michael's dad. Since he apparently likes to stay later than usual. I didn't even want to know the reason to that. I just hope it doesn't have anything to do with my mother or something gross.
Vinny led us to the main area where the stage was. It honestly looked pretty creepy how inanimate and stiff they were. The robots all had their heads towards the floor and their arms were in mid-motion, as if they had just been turned off during a performance. Shivers went down my spine the longer I looked at them...
"Sweet..." Fritz smirked.
Why am I hanging out with these idiots again?
"Hey, you guys wanna go to the control area and turn these bad boys on?" Vinny gestured to a gated room backstage, barely visible. Michael was clearly disapproving this idea but the others didn't seem to hesitate.
"Remember what happened last time?" Michael sighed. I raised a brow as they all burst into laughter, except Michael.
"Ha! Man, your dad was so mad!" Jeremy snorted, unaware of the glares being shot at him.
"Exactly. And if he sees Y/N here, I'm gonna be in even more trouble!"
"Pfft, I don't think Afton cares about your little 'girlfriend' Michael. Stop being a wimp." I was even more confused by Vinny's comment about me, flustered too. Why would he say something like that? I had just barely started my friendship with Michael!
I looked over and found him to be just as flushed as I was. He was clearly avoiding eye contact with me and I noticed the gap between us had grown significantly larger. The others let out their own snorts and began walking to the stage.
Guess I don't really have a choice...
