Emmett was gathering herbs in the woods with The Knights of Westrose as company who was doing their usual patrol in the woods. Emmett stepped gently through the broken branches and tried his best to focus on himself and to gather what he needed.
The knights on the other hand continued their search when they were interrupted by the sounds of baby crying. All the knights stared at each other in confusion and they fallowed the sound over to a couple of bushes. One of the knights gently lifted on the bushes to reveal a basket with a crying baby. "Oh by the Gods," one knight said, "How could someone leave such an innocent life out here in the woods?," Emmett immediately walked over to the knights and squatted down by the crying baby. He looked at the necklace the baby wore around his neck. "Gwydion," he read. "What shall we do with him?," a knight asked. Emmett smiled softly. "I will take care of the child," he explained, "I think the child has been left here for a reason and it's our job to care for him," The knights nodded and Emmett grabbed the basket with Gwydion.

Many years later, Gwydion had grown to young ten year old boy who liked to watch The King's son who was three years older than him train with the knights. When he didn't himself train magic with Emmett, of course. He had found out he had magic before he even could talk. But this time, Gwydion wanted to meet the Prince in person. He carefully approached Christian who threw knifes at a target. Christian turned around towards the younger boy. "Who are you? Do I know you?," he asked confused. Gwydion smiled. "I'm Gwydion," he explained, "Emmett's adoptive son," Christian smiled softly. "You are? The mysterious child with powers beyond humanity," he said kindly, "We've met many times before when we were younger," Gwydion smiled and Christian took the wizards hand. "Friend?," Gwydion asked. Christian smiled, "Friend, brother," he said.
