Heyyy, I'm still alive, I also haven't talked about Germany for quite some time and I'm pretty sure some of you would like to know more about it and learn about the culture a bit

Spring time, who doesn't love it? Well, I for one do!
Many people don't know this but Germany does in fact have quite a few trees with pink or white blooming blossoms, not necessarily the typical Japanese cherry blossom trees known as sakura but they exist here in Germany too.
Spring in Germany is filled with flowers starting to blossom already in the beginning in March and following with that, the trees.

They may not be very widely spread but still something noticable.
The trees with the white flowers are usually cherry trees, apple trees or...
greengage plums!
(In German = Renekloden/Ringlotten, so said "Edel-Pflaume" aka "noble plum" in English)

They do in fact appear in the wild, in my neighbourhood, I know a few such trees near me that are just there, not belonging to anyone.

They are very delicious, the fruit itself tastes watery and sweet but the skin is pretty sour

But oh spring in Germany can be like a bitch on her period.
Especially for April, we have the saying:

"April, April, der macht was Er will"

And it means "April, April, it does what it wants"

The weather during spring in Germany is VERY chaotic, suddenly it's really warm and then it just starts to snow and then rainy days are there again, oh, nice! Sunny! Oh, nevermind, it started to snow.
Currently, the last few days of the end of march were very sunny but then on 1th April... it started to snow. A lot.

So if you decide to visit Germany during spring, I really recommend to at least take two sweaters and a warm jacket with you because it might snow, you never know.

Also, pollen. POLLEN.
It has absolutely no mercy towards people with a pollen allergy but pollen usually start a bit later in spring.

I hope you liked this little information about Germany, you can gladly ask questions about Germany in the questions or suggest subjects to talk about Germany🌸
