Chapter 7: Strawberry & Litchi

As Sebastian kissed her forehead, Veronica smiled and snuggled more into him. He turned to face her, and Veronica admired how beautiful his face was. A cute smile adorned that handsome face, those brown eyes twinkled with something unusual, but something that had butterflies erupt in Ver's stomach; his hair was a tousled yet so perfectly attractive mess. She could keep looking at him all day long and never be bored.

In his raspy morning voice, Sebastian said when Veronica turned over and was about to leave, "Love, don't you want to nuzzle more?"

His voice is already hot. His morning voice is like the sun. So freaking hot. Veronica thought.

He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her closer, such that her back hit his chest. This caught Ver by surprise; even though she was hoping he would do that, she was surprised.

She gasped but stayed like that. One of Seb's hands was wrapped around her body while the other was under her neck. His chin rested in the crook of her neck, and he said, "How'd you sleep?"

Veronica was swooning. His voice made tingles go down her spine, his touch made her vulnerable, and she couldn't stop thinking about stuff. She did have her life's best sleep, though. So she said, "Very well, you?" with a smile.

Seb's face brightened when she said she slept very well; he answered, "It was the best sleep of my life, darling." Veronica turned red at the nickname; before she could say anything, he said, "We should sleep together more." Ver replied, "We should."

"Layliee! Where art thou?" Veronica said as she entered Laylah's room. She had a lot to ask and tell her dearest bestie before leaving for the trip.

"I'm here, Vero Moda," Laylah said as she skimmed through her bag again to ensure everything was packed nicely. Veronica chuckled at the nickname and said, "We have a lot to talk about, and I know for a reason we won't be finished before leaving. So we need nicknames if we talk while traveling. Sebastian is 'strawberry.'"

Laylah giggled at her best friend and said, "Cool! Theodore is 'litchi'"

Ver raised her eyebrows and took the chance to tease Laylah as they both laid down on the bed next to each other, staring at the ceiling, "So, you like litchi?"

Laylah said, "I don't know. It's good. But I don't incessantly love it like you love strawberry and each part of its body, which was obvious when you had your arms wrapped around its torso and a sweet freaking smile on your face this morning!? You are so utterly fudged, V."

Veronica turned red, looked at her best friend, and said, "How do you know?" Laylah looked back at her and send, "I know everything, sweetie. Every-fucking-thing."

Veronica rolled her eyes and said, "So anyway, yesterday, he had a bad dream, in which I left him. So he was sad." Laylah cut her off, "Aww!" Veronica continued, "I know, right! So, yeah, he asked me to watch friends with him. And we watched it, drinking the so freaking delicious smoothie he made. And then while watching, I fell asleep... I just remember him giving me a soft peck on my forehead and pulling me closer, and then his soft and steady breaths."

Laylah squealed, "Oh My God!!" Veronica blushed harder and said, "I know, right! I am starting to think that I like like like strawberry."

Laylah deadpanned, saying, "Sweetheart, you have like like liked him for long enough now. I totally believe that he loves you, and you love him too. Like no shit, boo. You are fudged," Saying the last part with a teasing smile on her face.

Veronica turned into a tomato and said, "What's going on between you and litchi, huh?"

Now it was Laylah's turn to blush; she said, "I don't know... See, I may like him, but again, you know, I keep having mixed feelings. Right now, he is excellent, like a really great friend. But I don't know anything else, ya know?"

Veronica paused for a second, looked at Lay, studied her face, and said, "Okay, now try being honest and spill, sweetheart."

Laylah giggled and said, "Okay, so the thing is, I am being honest, I don't know, okay? But he is handsome; he might have pinned me to the wall onc-" Veronica cut her off and exclaimed, getting up, "HE WHAT?" Laylah said, "I know, right! He freaking pinned me to the wall. I was flabbergasted, to say the least."

Veronica's eyes lit up, and her face morphed into a wide grin, "I SHIP!"

Laylah rolled her eyes at Ver and said, "You know that I can do nothing about it, still you ship? I've stayed away from boys for years, except those who are brotherly but now I don't know any more about Theo because he is definitely not brotherly. Abso-fudging-lutely not."

Veronica hummed and said, "He's good, you know; you don't need to stay away from him. He can be your just friend. But not with all the tension that I am sensing. God, you guys, would make the perfect couple. Also, we'll be gone for 7 days; your parents know that, right?"

Laylah nodded, saying, "Yes, mom does know that. Dad had to go somewhere for a business trip, so ehhh he doesn't." Veronica gasped, "Lay, what if he comes early, and we're still on the trip?"

"Then my lifespan will be cut short, but I'll be happy that at least I enjoyed before leaving the planet, y'know?" Laylah said, sighing heavily. Veronica rolled her eyes and said, "This girl. You are not getting killed, Lay. Let's hope for the best. Anyways, I want to tell you about Josh,"

"I'm listening,"

"Okay, so Joshua is Seb's big brother, 2 years older than us,"

"And?"

"And, he is brotherly to me, and before you ask anything else, you'll see," Veronica smirked at Laylah, who was left confused said, "Welp, alright, I guess-?"

"Hello Ladies," A deep voice said as its owner came into the room. Laylah turned around to see a handsome man of Theo's height with striking features like Sebastian's. The guy wore a black t-shirt with grey sweats. He smirked at Laylah as she stood up and asked, "Uh hi, ....?" She raised her eyebrows at him. He looked at her amused, then looked at Veronica, smiling widely at him, and then said, "Josh, short for Joshua."
