"For the last time you guys, I'm not going" I chuckled while I finished cleaning up my room. "You have to!! Please y/n, please I am begging you. I will sell both my kidneys for you to come, please!" Nick begs. "What he said" Nessa says, stuffing her mouth with cheetos.
They want me to go this party Jack is hosting for his birthday tonight. Now don't get me wrong, I love Jack to death, but I am not going to that party. Chris is gonna be there and I'm tired of his bullshit. I just know the minute I walk in there he's gonna give me dirty looks and do something to embarrass me.
Flashback:
I walk in with nessas arm laced around mine as we go and try to find someone we know. We immediately find Matt and Chris outside by a group of other people. "Hey guysss!" Matt smiles leaning in for a group hug (besides Chris) "Hi Matt, wheres nick and jack?" Nessa asked, not having to scream so loud since the music is only playing from inside of the house. "Oh they're inside playing beer pong" Chris says. "Oooh im definitely joining them. You wanna come?" Nessa turns to me. "Nah I'm good" I give her a little kiss on the cheek before she walked away.
I look back at the boys and out of nowhere, Chris was making out with some girl who I've never seen in my life. "Who's that?" I mouthed to Matt. "Some girl he met like 30 minutes ago" He whispered back. I nodded as me and Matt continued to just awkwardly stand there.
Finally they stopped. "So Chris how have you bee-" Oh nvm they're making out again.
I'm such an idiot. Why did I think I could try to have a conversation with him. "Dude" Matt taps on Chris' shoulder. Chris turns around "That's enough" Matt pulls the girl away from him and kindly asks her to leave.
"Bro" Chris stared at Matt with a blank stare and Matt gave him the same stare back. "Guys how about we-"
"How about you shut the fuck up" Chris turns to me.
"Chris stop" Matt says.
"So apparently it's not okay to make out at parties but it's fine making out with your boyfriend 24/7 in front of your friends?!" Chris says, taking a few steps towards me.
Sooo, i dated this guy a few weeks ago and I guess his love communication was kissing. And that's basically all we did. And whenever we would all hangout and I'd have him over, that's what we would do. Yeah I know, I am a bitch for that but Chris doesn't have to call me out like that.
"He's my ex Chris. And can u just please stop" I say quietly. I'm not good with comebacks okay. All I can think of in the spot is "I hate you" or "You're a dick" and both of those suck.
"can you just please stop" Chris mocks me. "God you're such a baby" He laughs. That's it. I pushed him. I don't care at this point. I'm tired of being so nice to him. I thought maybe by now he would finally get over whatever phase he's in but nothing is working. And I didn't push him that hard, cause I still care for him, I just care for him less right now of course.
Chris scoffed, walking closer to me. "Chris stop it!" Matt yells, putting his hand in between me and Chris so he wouldn't have gotten any closer. "You're the one acting like a baby you know that?" Matt says to Chris. "Come on let's just go" Matt looks at me and we both walked away, leaving Chris alone.
End of Flashback
"That happened months ago y/n, we won't let it happen again" Nick says. "Exactly, you're gonna miss out on a ton of funnn" Nessa adds. I was actually considering it. And you know, maybe it's not such a horrible idea.
"Fine" I sighed and started getting ready. "Yayy, party starts in 2 hours, u better be there" Nick says before him and nessa walk out of my room.
2 hours later
I put on the only dress I had in my closet which was just this boring ass short black dress that my mom gave me for my birthday last year. "Bye mom, I'll be back by 12!" I yell, before heading out. Apparently Nessa was gonna pick me up but as I was walking out I look up to see someone i definitely didn't expect.
It was Chris.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I said. "Look I didn't wanna pick you up either, but everyone else was too busy so they forced me to pick u up" Chris says.
"I'd rather walk" I roll my eyes before walking away.
"Just get in the fucking car!" He yells. "No" I turn around.
"Unless you do me a favor" I smirk, walking towards his car. He glared at me for a couple second. "What"
"Be nice to me for the whole day and I'll get in"
"Fuck that" He scoffed.
"How about a few hours" I raised my eyebrows, hoping he would say yes. "ugh fine" he sighs and unlocks the door.
I patiently waited out the door for a couple seconds, waiting for him to get out the car and open the door for me. Since that is what I expect from him right? "What are you doing? Get in" He says. "Are you forgetting something?" I raise my brows at him until he realized what I was talking about and groaned as he got out of the car to open the door for me. "Thank you, kind sir" I turn to him and smile. "i hate you" He mumbled. "Sorry, what was that?" I teased him. "Nothing"
I give him another smile and got in the car before he shut the door as hard as he could. As he got in, I tried turning on the radio. But he moved my hand before I could turn anything on. "Didn't I say you had to be nice to me?" I said. "Yeah but no music" He said, i rolled my eyes.
"You know, I'm only doing this because Nessa is paying me to pick you up" Chris says as he starts driving. "Is that so" I mumbled, putting on my lipstick in the rear-view mirror. "Yeah so don't think I actually like you" he says.
"Trust me, I didn't" I said putting away my lipstick and turning on the radio. I put on some drake and started singing but Chris immediately turned it off. "Oh come on, you and me used to sing drake in the car for hoursss Chris-" He cut me off "Well you and me aren't friends anymore so just...shut up" He said.
I don't usually take everything he says to me seriously but this time it actually hurt. Me and Chris have been best friends my entire life and him saying we aren't friends anymore fucking sucks.
I decided to just not say anything for the rest of the car ride.
