IM SOL LAY IN HER HOSPITAL BED, her eyes fixed on the ceiling as tears streamed down her face. The accident had left her paralyzed from the waist down, and the thought of living the rest of her life confined to a wheelchair was overwhelming.
Suddenly, the radio in the corner of her room crackled to life. A cheerful DJ's voice filled the room, followed by the sound of a popular idol group being interviewed. Im Sol's ears perked up, but she quickly lost interest as the conversation turned to their latest album and upcoming concerts.
Just as she was about to tune out, the DJ interrupted the interview to announce a special segment. "And now, we have a special caller who will get to talk to our guest, Ryu Sun-jae from Eclipse!" The room fell silent as Im Sol's phone rang, and she groaned in frustration.
"Why is this happening to me?" she muttered to herself, but before she could hang up, a warm voice came through the line.
"Hello? Hello, is anyone there?" Ryu Sun-jae's voice was gentle and soothing, and Im Sol felt a pang of curiosity.
"Who is this?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
