I couldn't move. Tears stung in my eyes. I heard two more gunshots ring out, and I dropped my backpack. I fled to the house, leaving a trail of dust behind me.

As I pounded up the steps, I heard another body pound to the floor. By the sounds of it. my abusive, alcaholic father. I didn't care. My mother was still alive, at least I hoped, but I don't think he was.

I knelt down next to my mother, and she placed her cold hand on my cheek. "Take care of her, Kyle." She said. "Get a job. Take care of the house." She said before coughing up some blood. "Shhh. Don't talk." I said, tears rolling down my pale cheek.

As I moved my hair from my face to stare into those crystal blue eyes, her gaze fell from mine, and off into space. Her hand went ice cold as it fell from my cheek. "NOOOOOOO!" I screamed. I was so mad. And I knew who did it, too.Jerry.

I heard Natalie cry, and I immediately got out my iPhone. I called 911 as I rushed into the kitchen, listening to my sisters wimpers of pain. As I went around the kitchen, into the living room, I saw her. She had a bullet hole in her shoulder. The telephone operator asked me what happened, and all I could force from inside me, was "1627 maple wood drive." "Honey, is this Kyle Wood?" She asked. "Yes" I replied shakily. "Honey, were going to send a police cruiser with an ambulance, ok?" I dropped the phone, and I heard Falicias voice calling my name.

I ran to Natalie, wrapping my arms around her. Jerry was sitting in the corner, his head half blown off. He was holding a shotgun in his right hand. But why had he done this? Why? Just then, I heard the police pull into my gravel driveway.
