Flashback

Bree quickly take a sharp turn down an alley way, noticing a crappy ladder hanging from the second story apartment. She grabs it and make her way up. She pulled the ladder up, so the girls couldn't follow her.

"Hey. Who are you?!" A voice says. The voice startled her, that she almost fell over the edge. She see's a flash of light from where the boy was, to right behind her, as the very same boy, catches her.

"You got to watch where you're stepping." He blandly informs.

"Y-Yeah. Sorry. Thanks for saving me there."

"Don't mention it. Its what I do." He shrugs, giving an awkward half smile.

"I've seen you on the news. You're number Five from the Umbrella academy, right?"

The boys sighs in disappointment. "The one and only." Five didn't care for the fame. In fact he hated how he was known for it.

"You don't seem very fond of the name." I assume.

"I guess its the publicity. It gets to you and you're only seen as such." Five replies in a down tone.

"Well then, Five. We're going to find you a name. A name you can be proud of." I smile as I walk towards the edge, sitting by him.

"We are, are we?"

"Yep. Publicity is more then what's on the outside."

"I don't even know you." Five scoffs.

"I'm Bree. Its nice to meet you. Now you know me. So what do you say, Five?" She awkwardly ask.

Five chuckles. "Its not like I have anything better to do." He claims.

———A Couple Days Later———
Bree's POV

As always, after school, I was running from those stuck up bitches from my school. Being in 8th grade sucks. Being BORN on October 1st is even worse.

I walk home from school most days. Well, usually I try too, unless those bitches are after me, then I have to run. They tease me for my gloves, because I never take them off, in fact I can't.
If I do, everything will go to hell. I wear nice, silk, dark grey coloured gloves. They go to about my wrist, but in winter I wear the ones that go to my elbow.

I've tried to convince my dad to let me join the 'Umbrella Academy,' but he says he doesn't want people to know I'm 'dangerous'. I just want to get out of that damn public school.

As usual, I head to the roof of the apartment complex that I've met Five at everyday. Its kinda been our spot lately.

Due to my powers, my younger brother calls me a freak. If I'm being honest, I don't really blame him. I mean, most girls can't emanate electric shock waves or such, out of their hands.
He blames me for our mothers death too. I mean, I am the one who killed her. Of course I didn't mean to. My power just came to light at the wrong time. Yes, I electrocuted my mother. Her heart stopped on the spot. I was probably around 6 when it happened, so my brother would've been 4 at the time. Dad won't tell me exactly what happened that day, but I know it was my fault.

Anyway, back to my problem. The stuck up bitches; Becka, Julia, and Britney. They're like those every day girls that think they're better then you at everything and try to make your life a living hell.

I wasn't looking where I was going and I bumped into a boy. I got a quite look at his school uniform, and knew exactly who he was.
Before I could even check if my predictions were correct, we were transported somewhere else.
