Bree Is Back At Their Base Camp
Bree walks in, and Five doesn't hesitate to ignore her presence. She takes this chance to use her power to spark up a fire.
Bree puts a small block of butter in a small pan and hovers it over the fire, waiting for it to melt. This action gets Five's attention.
"How'd you start the fire?" Five asks, generally interested. "So you're ready to talk now, I assume?" Bree sasses.
Five's facial expression turns to an unamused one. He ignores her comment and sits across from her.
Bree moves the pan from over the fire. Bree sits up and grabs a bag of bread, then sits back down. She takes out two plates, and butters the bread. She places a plate in front of Five.
Five doesn't want to eat, just to spite her. "I don't have to tell you to eat too, do I?" Bree's dull face turns into a dirty smirk.
Five frowns."I'm not hungry." He proclaims. Bree sigh's and heads off to make a comfy sleeping area for herself.
Five notices the lights flickering. He remembers spotting a electrical box, that was in no way of repair. How'd she get the lights to work?
He gets up and inspects the electrical box. The box was in pieces. "How did you get the lights working?" He speaks up.
"How did you teleport us into the future?" Bree retorts. Five doesn't want to admit it, but that was a good comeback. "Touché" he mumbles.
—————The Next Morning—————
Bree wakes up on a dirty mattress to find herself alone. Five was nowhere to be seen. Bree notice that the bread she made last night, was eaten.
"Five? Five, don't joke about this. Its not funny...Five?!" Bree shouts aloud. Bree can feel her anxiety setting in.
(Disclaimer: When Bree's emotions are strong [heightened], she tends to lose control of her powers.)
Bree sits herself back on the mattress, and pulls herself into the fetal position. She hides her face between her legs as little shock waves start to form around her. Her feet tap repeatedly from the stress. She can feel warm tears streaming down her cheeks.
Just then, Five peeks his head into the shop, when he spots small electrical waves surrounding Bree. "What the-"
Five, making no sound, sneaks closer to Bree without her knowing. Five makes his way over, taking a seat in front of her.
He reaches his hand out in curiosity, getting himself shocked. "Agh!" He winces.
Bree looks up in shock. (LOL, see what I did there?) She quickly starts to back away from him, in fear of hurting him again. "Y-You dumbass!" She blurts.
Five can hear Bree starting to mumble something to herself. "Calm down, calm down. You're not alone, you're not alone." The sparks around her bodying start fading with time.
Bree wipes her tears away, and stands up as if nothing had happened. "Dumbass." Bree states. Five's not sure if she was talking to herself or to him.
Five watches as Bree headed for the door. "Where the hell are you going?!" Five blurts. "To get you some bandages." Bree states, nonchalantly.
Five finds himself following her to the pharmacy. He watches as Bree walks down a few aisles. He waits by the door, picking at his fresh wound.
"Don't touch it. You'll make it worse." Bree orders. Five chuckles to himself. He found her newfound confidence attractive.
—————Back At Camp—————
Bree sits down on a spare mattress and motioning for him to come over. Five sits, and Bree grabs his wrist to start cleaning the wound.
"Are we going to talk about what just happen-" "No." Bree responds strictly. Her eyes not leaving Five's wound. Five ignores Bree's answer, and continues to bug her.
"What was that?" Five asks. "That, was none of your business." Bree sasses. "When were you born?" "The same day as you. Connect the dots yet?" Bree replies with a snarky attitude.
"Is that why you don't ever take off your gloves? Do they contain your power?" Five asks, assuming he's right. "Yep." She replies blandly.
"Why don't you just learn to contain it? Its safer." Five offers.
Bree scoffs and finally looking Five directly in the eyes. "Have you ever accidentally killed someone with your powers?"
Five falls silent, and Bree speaks up. "This'll sting a bit." She warns, as she pours cleaning alcohol on his wound. Five quietly hisses in pain.
"Who were they?" Five asks, regarding that its a sensitive question. "My mother." She replies, yet again, not taking her eyes of the wound.
"Have you ever accidentally brought someone to the apocalypse with you?" Five asks, forming a small smile.
Bree cracks a small smile. "No. No, I haven't." Bree replies, as she bandages up his wound. Bree tries her hardest not to smile. She can't let him get the satisfaction of making her happy.
Five gently lifts Bree's chin up, making eye contact. "Does this mean we're talking?" Five asks, hope rising in his voice.
"Does this mean you forgive me?" Bree asks hesitantly. Five smirks a little. "For now." "Then same. For now." Bree smiles awkwardly.
