Part Twenty One-Venom Management Issues

Kenta POV
The annoying sound of my alarm goes off from my phone. I annoyingly reach around to turn it off as I get out of bed.

"Ugh...Why do I feel way more drained than usual?" I ask myself

Slowly getting ready for school, I'm taken surprise by a familiar voice in my head.

"So you actually go to school instead of ditching. I'm a bit disappointed" Venom says

"Woah! I really didn't think that you were real" I say caught off guard

"How many bad guys do you think are out there right now? Getting away with all kinds of crime" He says

"As much as I would like to spend my whole day and night helping people, even I know that I have to stop at one point. I don't have unlimited energy" I say

"Fine then, enjoy your precious downtime" He says

After finishing getting ready, I leave my room and head downstairs to meet up with Inaba and Sugiyama.

"Hey, Miyamoto. You're looking rough" Inaba says

"D-Did you get enough sleep last night?" Sugiyama asks

"I'm fine, just lost track of time last night, that's all" I say

"Hey, where's Hatsume at? She's normally either the first one down here or with you" Inaba asks

"I-It's kinda weird seeing the two of you not in the same place" Sugiyama says

Now that I think about it, she wasn't waiting for me outside my room like usual. Or even knocking on it and telling me to hurry up like usual.

"I guess she must be in her room still, though it's pretty unusual for her to sleep in like this" I say

"You should probably go check on her" Inaba says

"Yeah, she probably way overdid it last night. I'll meet you guys in class" I say

"See ya" she says as her and Sugiyama start heading out of the dorms

I head over to the girls side of the dorm and make my way over to Mei's room.

"Mei, you alright in there?" I ask as I knock on the door

I don't get a response as everything stays quiet.

"Yeah, she's probably still asleep. Better wake her up before we're both late for class" I think

I jiggle the doorknob and notice that it is unlocked, so I open the door and sure enough, I see Mei slumped over her desk fast asleep. As I walk over to her so that I can shake her awake, I look down at what she was working on and see that it's designs for new Spider-Man gadgets...

"I wish she never found out...It'll only put her in danger" I think with a small sigh

After I wake Mei up and waiting for her as she gets ready for school as fast as she can, we rush to class and are thankfully able to make it before the bell.

"Phew...Mei, you really can't be staying up late like that. You've got the whole day to work on your babies" I say

"Sleep is a waste of precious time! Time that I could be using to make more babies! Mark my words, Kenta, one day I'll make a baby that'll get rid of sleep forever! Then the whole world will be much more productive" She says
