SHUT UP I FOUND THE OLD DRAFT OF THE STORYLINE WHERE LEXIE HAS A BABY. I WROTE IT IN JULY 2020. I VIVIDLY REMEMBER THIS.

THIS IS WHAT BOOK 2 WOULD HAVE BEEN IF I DIDNT SCRATCH THIS STORY LINE.

THIS IS WHEN MILES AND LEXIE MEET AGAIN, HERE U FUCKING GO.

lexie felt herself gasp when she turned around to be faced with the boy she had fallen love with all those years ago... so familiar, yet unfamiliar to her—-her heart struck like lightning inside of her chest.

except that boy she had once fallen in love with, turned into a man, a beautiful man at that.

"long time no see, ay?" miles asked her with a small smile, lexie's mouth hung agape, she had so many things to say, so many things to choke out. but not a single word came out of her mouth.

just relentless stuttering.

miles eyed lexie up and down, she looked so different, yet so much the same. she looked older, her hair was still up to her shoulders in that irresistible bob.

he was convinced his love had died for her, it had been years since he had seen her, even thought of her. she had died in his mind, nothing left for her.

she didn't just break his heart, she ripped it out of his chest, stomped on it, and fucking destroyed it.

but looking at her again... made an old feeling twinge from inside of him, it was warm, it was fuzzy. and he most certainly didn't like the feeling, not for her at least.

"never thought i'd see you again" lexie finally spoke, making miles laugh a bit,

"ive wished the same for the past eight years" he said with a bitter tone, the feeling of a knife plunged into lexies chest at his angry words.

oh he wasn't over what she did to him, it fucked him up, it completely changed him.

"what have you been up to for all these years?" she awkwardly changed the subject, ignoring his not so subtle jab at her, in his defense, she deserved it.

but for all these years, he never knew the truth.

miles never knew what he made lexie do.

"went off to college, got my business degree, met my best friend, settled a down payment on a business with him, expanded the business and now i have millions of dollars to my name" he explained, making lexies brows raise.

at least one of them were doing good, he was doing great actually.

she was happy, she was proud of him.

he went off and made something of himself.

"it's a billion dollar business, but i got the millions to my actual name" he arrogantly shrugged, whisking his glass of fine wine around in his hand while doing so.

"what about you?" he asked, eyeing her up and down, and lexie couldn't tell if that was in a seductive way, or if he was judging her every move like a hawk.
