I went to bed early that night.
"Morning." I say the kie and the boys.
"Where's John B? And since when was there a hot tub here?" I ask.
"Hot tub got here yesterday while you were asleep." JJ says flipping his hat backwards.
"And John b is?"
"Fishing with Ward. He didn't tell you?"
I hide a laugh. "He's what now?"
"Fishing" Kie says smiling.
"I still can't imagine him doing that with Ward." Pope says shaking his head.
"Wow. That's just. I don't have any words." I say as I'm trying to find a word my feelings describe.
JJ snickers.
"What's that?" I ask Kie who is sitting in a bucket tied to a tree.
"Oh ya know just making sound outside decor." Kie says shrugging her shoulders.
"Uh huh yeah." I say nodding my head and then slowly turning my head to JJ and Pope.
"It's like a swing." Pope says nodding with his head. "Yeah you can just swing around with it." Jj says.
We then hear a car pull up.
"John b is here!" Kie says.
"Dude, I set up the entire swing to swing around and stuff." JJ says.
"No, he did not. I did that." Pope corrects him.
"Hey Johnny-" he walks right past me.
Not even acknowledging my appearance.
"Hey?"
"Okay that's it?"
"Uh..what was that all about?" Pope says.
"I was gonna ask you the same question." JJ says.
"We should probably follow him inside." I say getting up and so does the rest of the group.
As we enter we see John B looking for something.
Pope walks up to him. "You all right, man? What's up?"
"What are you looking for?" Kie says from afar.
"Bro what's going on man?"
"John b what's up?" I say.
He reaches the couch and the next thing he does is unbelievable.
"John b, what do you need the gun for?" JJ says like he knew it was there.
He walks up to take it from him as John b shoves him to the bed.
"Talk to us!" JJ shouts.
"John b what is wrong?!" I shout.
"What are you, JJ now?" Pope says getting shoved into the table by him.
What's that supposed to mean?
I follow John b outside.
"John b! What is going on?! Talk to me!"
The group comes out of the house just when John b gets on a bike.
"John b!" Kie shouts.
"Ward knows about the gold."
Gold?
He turns around.
"He killed our dad." He says then drives off.
"John b!!" I say trying to catch up even though I know it's useless.
