Chapter 1: The End of My Simple Life

Today is the day, I'm going on a date with my boyfriend Touya-senpai! I can't wait!

I am waiting for his text message as I was getting ready for our date.

I am now ready, I sprayed my favorite perfume, and wore my favorite clothes.

'Why is he taking so long? I waited for 2 hours already!' -I thought to myself.

*grabs phone*
*calls Touya-senpai*

Touya: *picks up phone*
Hikaru: Are you coming? Where are you?
Touya: Sorry I can't come there are urgent matters I need to handle here in the school.
Hikaru: It's ok, I understand.

Oh, he stood up on our date again. This is not the first time this has happened, but I am tolerating this behavior because I love him so much.

"Let me just change my clothes and wear my pajamas. I need to sleep early since I have to work in the coffee shop tomorrow."- I told myself.

*Time skip*

The next morning

I jolt awake and look at the clock beside me. "Oh no, I'm late for work! I have no time to eat breakfast!"

I ride the subway going to the coffee shop. I then rushed to wear my uniform.

My boss asked me why I was late and I told him that I overslept.

My shift started and a lot of customers flocked in the coffee shop.

The coffee shop was full, which means that I had a lot of things to do today.

A customer ordered black coffee and sat on the table on the very far right.

I prepared his order right away and delivered it to his table, but while walking towards his table I failed to notice the WARNING wet floor sign.

I slipped because of the puddle and accidentally spilled the hot coffee on the customer.

The customer complained to my manager about my clumsiness. I apologized but he didn't accept my apology due to the burn marks I caused.

My manager scolded me and ended up firing me. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME!?!

I went to the public library to find a history book.

I saw the book but I couldn't reach it.

Although I was tall the book was still too high for me to reach.

Another hand tried to grab the book and he took it from the shelf. He turned to me and I talked to him.

Hikaru: Thank you.
??: I'm sorry, but I think this book is mine.
Hikaru: Ok fine, I'm gonna look for this book in a bookstore.
??: By the way, my name is Takumi and you?
Hikaru: Secret

Commotion occurred outside the library and I wondered what was happening.

The next second I noticed that Takumi ran away.

I went home sadly due to getting fired and not getting the book.

I made a phone call to my best friend Rina-chan and told her about all the misfortunes that happened to me yesterday and today.

I fell asleep while crying silently.

*time skip*

Next morning

I received a phone call from a random number and I answered it

Hikaru: Hello, may I know who this is?
??: I'm Makoto Igawara the manager of Star Dust Promotion Company.
Hikaru: Why are you calling me??
Makoto: I want to hire you as Takumi's tutor in history.
Hikaru: I'll think about it.
Makoto: Call back if you've decided.
Hikaru: Bye. *ends call*

*time skip*

A few minutes later

Hikaru calls the company again to tell them her decision...

Hikaru: I've decided to tutor Takumi.
Makoto: Ok thank you. Please meet us in the company.
Hikaru: Ok Thank you, see you later.

*time skip to the evening*

I ride a taxi going to Star Dust Promotion Company and when I arrived I immediately looked for Takumi's office.

We started our lecture but Takumi doesn't seem interested with the topic. He dozed off after 15 minutes of studying.

'To be honest I regret teaching this guy. I want to quit.'

As soon as I exited the office I wanted to tell Makoto that I wanted to quit, but he told me that Takumi's assistant quit. He wanted to hire me as his new assistant because of my abilities.

I was going to refuse but he offered me 3x of my salary. I then agreed to his request of being Takumi's assistant.

*time skip*

The next day

We went to the set of his new series "ROSE PETALS" to film.

While rehearsing his lines, we heard shouting coming from the entrance of the set.

We went to the entrance to check why the people were shouting.

Takumi gasped when he saw Toi Amane and Yui Ichigo entered the studio.

I asked Takumi why he gasped.

Hikaru: Why did you gasp? Do you know them?
Takumi: They are my rivals.
Hikaru: Oh okay, let's see what they're gonna do.

We noticed that Toi was approaching us.
