Lucas had walked out of his bedroom as he saw how his sister was busy on her phone. His parents were a lot like the old traditional parents who didn't have many knowledge of technology nor did Joseph or Cathy have any interest in it. But being 17, Lydia had the biggest interest in it. Lucas had shaken his head as he looked at his brother eating while he sat down next to Lydia.

"Listen, Lyd. I have someone I want to introduce you to. One of the freshman who apparently became my friend. She's really nice and..."

"Listen, Luke. I'm glad you're making friends but I have no desire to..." Lydia said as she had heard a baby crying.

"I'm coming, Suzie! Remind me why we had to move away from Fred?" Lydia asked as she grabbed a bottle and Lucas had stopped her.

"Let me do it. I'll like to spend some time with my niece," Lucas said.

"Go on. Up you go," Lydia said as Lucas entered the room.

"Hey, Suzie," Lucas said as he picked the six month baby up.

"Hello," he said feeding her a bottle.

When finding out that his sister was pregnant at 16, everything changed for Lucas and their family. But things also changed for Lydia when she became a mom. It wasn't just about going to school now, but also taking care of an infant and working. Which caused her to lose a lot of time with her daughter. Fortunately Lucas had always been able to help where he could.

"Lucas! School!" Cathy yelled as he placed Suzie back in her crib and went down.

"Okay, let's go," Lucas said as he and Lydia walked out of the house.
