Two young teenagers sitting at a bakery drinking smoothies. Having the time of their lives while their love story could finally begin. That is how Lucas imagined his date with Maya going. But, to say the truth, New York was nothing like he thought it would be. The busy city got busier as he gotten to know it and it soon became too much for him as well.
"The city warming up to you yet?" Maya asked as she was sipping on her smoothie.
"I'm definitely learning something new every other day about the big city. Not exactly warming up to it yet, but I'm getting used to it slowly," Lucas said.
"And your siblings? Are they settling in?" Maya asked.
"Dylan hates the city just like me while Lydia is thriving in it. She loves how busy it is and the only thing she really complains about is her pocket money bot being enough," Lucas said as Maya chuckled.
"Demolition does that. How about you?" Maya asked.
Lucas smiled at the young girl. Although he didn't know much about her life or how things have been, he grew close to her pretty fast and although she had hid a lot of things that could be important to know, Lucas was enjoying the time he spent with her.
"Well since the company is okay, I can't complain. I'm getting used to New York, but it will still be awhile until I'll be warmed up to it all," Lucas said as Maya smiled.
"This weekend I'm taking you to some of the best places in New York then," Maya said.
