You yawned as you woke up, stretching out slightly as you sat up wearily. It was then you realised.

Where's Albedo?
He had disappeared from your side. You got up, brushed your teeth, got ready, then started looking around for Albedo. You glanced into a lab, and you saw Sucrose doing various things inside. She looked up slowly to see you, her eyes widening slightly. You slowly approached her, frowning slightly.

'Sucrose, I'm so sorr – '

'I don't need your apology.' Sucrose mumbled then sighed. 'It's not fair. I... I'm really trying.'

'I know. Albedo's not being too kind right now. I tried to get him to apologise but... I guess I'll just have to do it for him. We're so sorry.'

Why am I making such a big deal out of this?

'It's fine.' Sucrose looked up at you and gave you a small smile, her ears lifting up.

'Thank you.'

There was a brief silence until you spoke up again.

'Have you seen Albedo, by the way?'

'Oh, no I haven't – '

'Were you looking for me?'

Albedo's voice echoed through the lab as he walked through the door. He was wearing an oversized, cream coloured cardigan with loose trousers and a plain white shirt. His hair was tied half up, half down with his bangs covering his eyes slightly.

You couldn't help but stare and a bit of you died inside as you realised you were dating someone as pretty as him.

'Oh, Y/N was.' Sucrose looked up at him, a light blush spread over her face.

'Y/N? Did you need me for something?' Albedo turned to you.

'Oh – ' You stood there, feeling rather stupid. 'No, I just... didn't know where you were.'

'Then, I have prepared something for you, Y/N. It's in one of the labs. Please follow me.' Albedo looked at you as you silently nodded. The two of you walked out, leaving Sucrose who looked like her heart had just shattered.

You silently walked with Albedo to one of the labs. You knew you ought to ask him about Sucrose and his behaviour, but you doubted he would actually give a valid answer. Besides, you had already asked him.

I'll wait for some time.

'Ah, we're here.'

Albedo took your hand so you stepped into the lab. He walked over to some vials and gave you a motion to sit down on the wooden chair. You did so, as Albedo picked up a slightly bubbling vial of a strange drink.

'Hmm...' You heard him mumble something to himself as he glanced to you.

'I'm sorry, but can you please wait outside? I'm not done with this yet.' Albedo indicated the weird substance.

'It's fine, I can wait.'

Albedo shook his head. 'I'm sorry, but it's necessary.'

You slowly nodded. It's best not to argue.

You left the room, then simply wandered around for a bit, staying near the lab in case Albedo called you back. You had no idea what he was doing, but you were quite intrigued and as long as he didn't poison you, everything would be fine.

Several minutes later, you went back to the room where you glanced at the vial again. There were new beakers scattered around the table, filled with things like flower petals, coloured liquids and even one that had a certain amount of an oddly sticky substance that resembled glue.

Albedo turned to you and smiled as he handed you a small glass with the previous liquid in it. Except it had stopped bubbling and looked a lot lighter.

'Now, please,' Albedo said softly, glancing at the glass that he placed in your hands, 'drink.'

Albedo gave you a comforting smile as you hesitantly take the potion and raise it to your lips.

'This is... safe, right?'

'Of course. I've added certain ingredients to make it to your liking as well.'

Albedo's eyes glanced to the glue-like substance.

You sighed. What was Albedo doing to you? All these weird things he was testing on you we strange, even though you knew he cared for you. So, what was the problem?

I can do this, I'll be fine.

You hesitantly took a sip. It tasted unique, a mixture of sweetness with a hint of salt. The taste of strawberries wasn't at all bad, so you continued until you downed the cup. The drink had made you feel warm, almost light-headed.

Your vision began to blur.

'Albedo? What's happening?' You tried to steady your voice, but even you could hear the panic as fear spread across your body.

'It's fine. It's going to be fine, my love.'

A kaleidoscope of colours made your vision become even more hazy. You being to lose consciousness and fell into Albedo's arms. You couldn't see. You couldn't feel anything. The last words you heard were uttered from Albedo's lips.

'All mine.'
