Chapter 10 ➭ Trapped once again

'Y/N???'

Sucrose stares, completely shocked at the fact she was seeing you in front of her, not having gone on some random trip.

'Sucrose, please remain calm. Y/N simply has decided otherwise and - '

'I'm going out. I'll see you guys later. Have an enjoyable afternoon.'

There was an undertone in Sucrose's voice you hadn't heard before, and you felt obliged to let her leave the room silently. The door slammed shut as you looked at Albedo, a look of trepidation glazing your eyes.

'Hmm... You're next task is due soon.' Seemingly unfazed, Albedo tilted his head at you, looking deep in thought.

'You don't mean....' Trailing off, Albedo's nod confirmed your thoughts.

Wasting your energy wasn't worth it, so you stayed silent, not bothering to persuade him otherwise.

'Y/N.... You still... love me right?' Albedo asked, his anxious eyes meeting yours.

'Huh? Well, of course I do.' You responded almost automatically and besides, it would be a bit discouraging if your partner just brought up that they didn't love you one day.

Because somehow, amidst all of this, you were dating Albedo.

He let out a sigh of relief. The alchemist then spoke up, almost carefully.

'I just want you to know that, after all this, I promise we can go back to being... normal, in a way. I promise you I love you more than anyone, I won't let anything happen to you.'

You didn't reply.

'Alright, let's go.'

Albedo glanced at you, fidgeting with the hem of his large, light-brown jumper. His hair was scraped into a ponytail and you slowly paused your note-taking to look up at him. Vials bubbled in front of you, and the air was heavy with smoke and clouds of vapour.

'Um, right okay.'

What am I doing?

It came like second nature to you, as you dipped into unconsciousness, you heard another voice. It was slightly blurred, but you could hear Albedo talking to them. It couldn't be Sucrose, the voice was deeper than hers. A male voice. You recognised it, but your efforts on trying to pinpoint who it was went in vain as you felt your consciousness slip away.

'It... hurts...'

The pain in your chest heightened, as you dug your arms into your stomach. 

'Here.' Albedo handed you a small vial of something. It was quite late now, and the lamps of the lab flickered from inside your room. You were collapsed on your bed, exhausted. The mysterious person had left as abruptly as they had came, and no traces of them had been left.

You were too tired to care what was in the vial, everything was a hazy blur and everything ached. In desperation, you drank the entirety of the liquid, as you felt your body relax along with your muscles, which had been tensed in pain for a while now.

'You finally accepted something without hesitation?' Albedo teased, gently propping you up on the bed.

'At least it worked.' You sighed gratefully. 

Albedo's lips pressed a kiss against yours, and you faltered to his embrace. His arms wrapped around you comfortingly, and his lips moved further down to your neck.

You could feel his warm breath fanning your skin, as the alchemist dipped his head, grabbing your arms, in order to press kisses along your collarbone. Biting your lip, you flinched slightly as he began to suck on your skin gently, leaving marks in his wake. 

Gripping the bedsheets didn't help much, but your breathing patterns were heavily disrupted as Albedo delved further down your body. His hands gripped the hem of your t-shirt, his eyes meeting yours as he waited for permission.

Your head spun, trying to form coherent thoughts with what was happening. You were tired, but...

'Sorry.' Your voice was quiet; fear coursed through your body as you looked up at him.

'No need to apologise, love.'

Albedo smiled at you, wrapping you into a hug. 'It's okay.'

You fell asleep soon after, due to the time, mainly. But this was just the beginning. You had no idea what Albedo had in store for you, but when you awoke somewhere where you didn't recognise, again, you might have gotten some idea of the mess you would be caught in.

It was some sort of capsule.

And this capsule - barely capable of fitting a single person - was filling with water.

Quickly.
