"You know what you must do."

"Elias?" My vision was blurred and I couldn't see.

"Burn. Them. Now!" The voice said, as everything got clearer. In front of me was a family. The mother was shielding her two kids, as I gripped onto my VC1-Incinerator.

"Do it, or I will, Firebreak." My former leader demanded, as I stared into the eyes of a helpless woman, pleading for not her life, but the lives of her children. I realized there was one way out of this situation.

"I'm sorry, Mason." I said, as I turned the Incinerator on him, setting his body alight. He collapsed with a sickening scream, before the only sound was the crackling blaze.

"What the fuck did you just do?!" Code shouted, as he reached for his Uzi 9mm. I turned the VC1 onto him, as he began to fire at me. My armor protected me from any damage from his weapon, and he knew. He lunged at me, as I set him alight. Ripping off my helmet, he tried to choke me, but it was too late. The damage was done, and his charring corpse slumped over. However, I was not without injury. Code's hands wrapped around my throat, caused the fire to spread to me, as it began to grow. It slipped into my suit, as my skin boiled. I screamed in agony, as I ripped and clawed at my suit, eventually pulling it off. I found the fire extinguisher, and sunk a knife into it, as it sprayed all over me, containing the blaze. My skin, all the way from my jaw to my navel, was charring, crisp flesh. I fell back, as I began to lose my vision.

Waking up in a sweat, I saw that I was in Tina's room, still in the corner, as I heard sizzling and smelt the smell of bacon. The sense of somewhat familiarity and the fact that it wasn't the hospital bed after I was burned imbued a sense of safety in me. Standing up, I immediately felt a crick in my neck, as I stretched my arms.

"Oh, you're awake. Morning, Krystof." Time said, as she momentarily looked up from her cooking and smiled at me. I smiled back, as she returned to her bacon. "I'm making bacon, waffles, and eggs. You want some?"

"Please." I respond, rubbing the remaining drowsiness from my body and poking around. On the floor, by the counter was a box that wasn't there before. On the box it read 'To Krystof Kötz'.

"That was quick." I said, as I opened the box to find my clothes, as well as a few other things. Next to the box, was my helmet that was taken from me when I was being interrogated.

I grabbed some of my clothes and went to the bathroom, before opening the cabinet and grabbing one of the spare towels. I hopped into the shower, before turning it on.

Exiting the shower, I felt refreshed, and renewed. I dried myself off, before putting on my clothes which consisted of jeans and a white t-shirt with a flame on it, and a gray zip up hoodie.

Stepping out of the bathroom, I put my dirty clothes in my box, separated from the clean clothes. Looking up, I saw the breakfast Tina cooked was ready. She even set up two spots on the table. Sitting down, I admired the meal.

"Thanks for making an extra serving for me." I said, as I grabbed a piece of bacon.

"Don't worry about it, eh?" She replied, as she poured maple syrup onto her waffles.

"So, tell me about yourself." She said, as she passed the syrup.

"Well, I'm Elias' younger and more handsome brother, and I kinda have a thing for fire. I love everything about it." I started, as I took a bite of eggs.

"Does that include grilling and cooking?" Tina joked. I smiled, as I looked her in the eyes.

"Actually, I do some grill work. If there's ever a time, I'll whip you up something." I offered, as she smiled.
