This was.... Upsetting.

They had a scheduled dinner planned with the almighty Shadow Joker. At 20:00. However it was now 21:19 and their patience was indeed running thin.

Not the fact that they missed dinner, they could hold hunger for ages. It was the fact Shadow has the audacity to not show up on this occasion, it was meant to celebrate their 6th year on dating with him. Regardless the fact he now was always on heists against or with Joker. You couldn't help but feel anger bubble up.

Could he not set aside one heist for your anniversary.. Nevermind, none of that today. It was worthless to mourn over something that isn't important.

"Y/n-san? What are you doing here?" They recognise the voice belonging to Rose, Shadow's twin..? "Rose, I was just going out for dinner.. Why are you here?" They asked back. She pondered for a while until answering.

"Nii-chan is on a heist right now... Soo...." She trailed off.

They sighed slightly, it wasn't a big surprise, he was always on various heists competing against Joker. But it did disappoint you a little bit...

"What's a pretty prince/princess doing mourning tonight beneath the southern cross?"

Phoenix? They turned around
He had a teasing smile on his face, a hint of amusement.

"Phoenix? What are you...." he shushed you by putting his pointer finger in front of his lips. They nodded understanding his cue.

"Seems that my lovely star is saddened. Come with me Y/n, let us find happiness beneath the southern cross!" Phoenix quickly changed forms from Akai Tsubasa to well.. Pheonix. A sudden change that caught them off guard.

They smiled in his kindness, gladly they took his hand. He smiled back, twirling their figure until they ended up in his arms bridal style.

This is still a Shadow Joker x Y/n dw be patient.

"Phoenix?!" They squirmed in his grasp. He chuckled, slowly but surely lifting both of them from the ground, Rose waving her hands, then continued to walk.

"Pfft, HAHAHHA! It is I, messenger of the southern cross.. Phoenix!" Phoenix, though everyone's eyes seemed to be fixated at them. Clinging onto him for dear life.

"PHOENIX-- PUT ME DOWN" they screamed, if they were to fall they would die the second they blinked.

Whatever was their fortune for their hands to slip, catching the fire bird off guard. Dropping them. They scream in terror, this was not how they wanted their last day on earth to go.

The moment they close their eyes was the moment they felt someone catching them, assuming it was Phoenix, they punched the living daylights out of the figure.

"You bitch!" They growled. Looking up, their eyes meeting a golden-yellow-ish shade eyes, a pair of eyes they can never misunderstood for.

"Shadow..." Shadow's face was bruised from the hit, eyes narrow and mouth forming a line, there was no telling what emotion he was feeling that moment.

"Why were you with that bird?" He asked, no hesitation.......

"Were you jealouss?" They teased, the stubborn Cyan huffed and rolled his eyes. Nonetheless leaning into his partners touch. "You're ridiculous" they laughed to themselves, finding his jealous behaviour adorable.
