Scale.

I hope my pained experiences,

Make you cackle, howl, hysterical from laughter.

I hope my pained experiences,

Make you frustrated, irate, done with my stubbornness.

I hope my pained experiences,

Bring you closure, completion, bliss in being a contributor.

I hope my pained experiences,

Bring you sadness, grief, pity for another suffering soul.

I hope my pained experiences,

Show you fear, cowardice, petrification from sheer terror.

I hope my pained experiences,

Make you recoil, grimace, cringe at such openness.

to judge our pain?

For, why cannot pain,

Be just pain,

And not a scale from 1-10?

Some people have it better.

Some people have it worse.

We all matter, do we not?

Take your pain off the scale.

Everybody knows it will never weigh the same as another.

But that will never mean,

that it doesn't matter as much as the one that weighs more.

Or so, I'm still trying to convince myself...
