TW: Sexual Assault, Alcohol/Tobacco Reference.

Your touch stings upon my pale skin,

I try not to remember; a tragedy it had been.

Cigarette smoke blown into my face,

Steps I do not want to re-trace.

A bottle crashes to the ground,

A little blonde girl; nowhere to be found.

"STOP IT! STOP IT!" I scream,

Begging you to let go of me.

Smell of liquor from your breath,

Shouting in my ear, which soon turns into a threat.

You wouldn't listen,

This wasn't a family tradition.

Many years later, I still remember this day;

Afraid of the outcome, I surely must say.

He may keep me safe, but not from you.

You are a monster, and I know that is true.
