Dream! DREAM! Where are you? Dream I cant see anything.

Nightmare I'm here! Night!

Dream!

He woke calmly, but with a strange sense of adrenaline pumping through his body, he sat up and looked out the window. It was dark out, his body was fine, but his brain was running through all sorts of old memories.

He slowly got out of bed, and walked, though a bit staggered. He slowly exited the small house the villagers allowed him to stay in. Peering a little bit out the door, he realized how cold it was, but more importantly, how RED the moon looked.

He didn't expect it to be THIS beautiful, but if that's what the villagers were celebrating he could atleast respect it. It was cold outside.

He slowly reached to his right to grab a dark purple jacket, and put it on. Then he calmly started walking farther away from the house, and towards the horse stables.

It occurred to him that it had been a while since he had woke up from a nightmare, but from experience he knew that he would not be able to go back to sleep in his house.

He slowly came around to find his Killer sleeping quietly. He slowly came into his stable and though there was not much space, and it smelled absolutely awful, he quietly curdled up in a corner and stared at Killer as he slowly started to fall asleep as well.

******

The sun had hit him like a pile of bricks. He HATED the morning. Hated the warm, hated the light, hated life. He slowly opened his eyes, as he tried to adjust to his bright surroundings.

Taking a deep breath in, he remembered he was not in his room. He looked around for Killer, but realized that he wasn't there.

He shrugged it off, thinking that someone probably let him out and didn't see Nightmare there with him.

He closed his eyes again, only to have them opened wide quickly as he rwalized something. 'Killer doesn't let anyone but me touch him.'

He quickly got up, and frantically looked around the stable. His eyes landed on another, skeleton?

He was sleeping, curled up in a corner. His bones were not white like Nightmare's but a light gray, he didn't have any clothes on.

Then it hit him. He lived in a small village. Even if he didn't get out much he knew almost everyone in the village.

Judging by the skeleton's build he was probably about as old as Nightmare.

So a complete stranger, most likely a strong young adult, that looked exactly like Nightmare's horse, had snuck into the stables and stole Nightmare's horse.

Either this skeleton was Nightnare's horse that had somehow, by something short of a miracle, transformed into a skeleton, or he was a murder.

Hmmmm.....

*****

"There's a murder in the stables?!" Error asked worriedly, as he started running out of his house towards Ink's stable.

"Yup." Nightmare muttered, he had left this world a long time ago, basically on auto pilot as he followed Error down the path. "Wait, No! In MY stable."

"I don't ca-a-are! I have to make sure I-I-I-I-nk is okay!" Error yelled. Nightmare rolled his eyes and huffed, but followed him, seeing as he was already to far down the path to turn back.

But when they got to Ink's stable they also found a skeleton. No horse to be seen.

He had normal white bones at first glance, but actually he had a bunch of black scribbles all over his body. His clothes were mostly brown with a sash of rainbow colored patches.

"Oh-h-h-h-h-h my g-g-g-god." Error said as they both stared at 'Ink'. Even Nightmare snapped out of his trance.

"I-I-I-ink?" He called out as Nightmare stared in shock.

"Hmm?" The skeleton muttered quietly as they started to stir. He sat up unexpectedly and rubbed his eyes, almost like he already knew how to do it. And when he finally opened his eyes to look at them, he displayed nothing but apathy.

"What?" 'Ink' asked, still with no emotion.

Error said nothing.

"That can't be Ink, can it?" Nightmare whispered to Error.

"W-w-w-well he answered to the n-n-n-name, right?"

"Yeah, but it's uh....skeleton."

"But it looks just like Ink."

"I know but-"

"I can hear both of you." He said as he got up on his feet, causing both of them to take a step back. "I'm not gonna hurt you." He came up to the gate. "I just need food. Can I have some?"

Error blushed as he realized how close they were, and froze in place from the closeness.

"I'm gonna go." Nightmare said, being done with the awkward situation. Then he realized he also had a bit of a problem.

The other skeleton also looked like Killer. He wondered if the same thing had happened to all the horses, but Ink and Killer were the only ones with seemingly unnatural colors, so he thought no.

Walking up to the stable Killer was also there at the gate. But he didn't ask for food. Instead he asked if he was aloud to come out, like he usually did at this time of day.

"Umm-, are you sure you're Killer? I mean you look like him, but skeletons are pretty common in this place and-"

"Look, Nightmare. I'm REALLY tired. And I gotta get out of here as soon as possible. I'll explain on the way." He said as he started to undo the lock on the stable, from the small opening on the inside.

"Where are you going?" Nightmare asked. He confusingly stepped back and let him.

"Like I said I'll explain on the way." He said as he started walking away.

"You want me to come with you?" Nightmare asked hesitantly.

He turned around and stood next to Nightmare as he nodded. "I need help."

Nightmare wanted to ask again, but decided not to, it would probably deliver him the same answer anyways.

"Is Ink also coming with you?" They started walking to an unknown location. Killer nodded once again.

"He'll probably bring Error along too. I swear Error would do anything for him. "

Nightmare nodded. He was unsure if he should actually follow a skeleton that claimed to be his horse, but he had nothing better to do. Plus, even if he was attacked, he knew how to fight.
