Relationship background: Y/N is a young, lone burrower trying to make it on her own. One day when low on food, you leave the safety of our home out of desperation to find food.

Todoroki lives in a cabin on his own in the woods along a mountain side. One day he goes out for a refreshing snowy walk when he runs into something he had only heard of in old wives' tales and bedtime stories.

Y/N braced herself against the icy winds whilst she tromped atop the soft snow, occasionally sinking into about waist or stomach deep in the fluffy powder. Winter time was brutal and unforgiving by nature, but burrowers, like herself, especially struggled this time of year with the lack of food and warmth.

Y/N had left her tree hole to try and forage for something to eat as her supplies had almost completely run out. If she didn't find something to fill her stomach, she'd starve.

The young girl continued to press forward, her steps slowing as the bitter cold nipped at her feet and nose. Something inside her told her to keep walking but her body begged her to stop, to lie down and rest. She was so sleepy...

Todoroki tromped silently through the ankle deep snow, simply enjoying the soft crunch of the undisturbed frost underfoot. As he waltzed slowly through the flurry of flakes he watched the path in front of his feet, silently marveling in how each new flake seemed to melt into the increasing inches of powder.

The wind blew gently as the snow fell even harder. It was getting dark and Shoto figured he best turn around soon before the remaining predatory wildlife in the cold season became active. Standing in the snow the teen simply embraced the serene silence of it all. He quite loved his evening walks as they helped him to clear his head and get away from life. Before turning on his heel to begin the long trek back to his cabin, the young boy noticed what looked like small animal tracks in the snow tracking along the ground till they just stopped. Curious, Todoroki walked up to the tracks and began inspecting them.

The prints were each about the size of his fingertip and looked almost as if they might belong to some sort of rodent. It seemed as if they had been there for quite some time now as the falling snow made them appear more subtle and faint. The tracks went over a fairly large fallen branch where something small quivered against it with its back to him.

Y/N cupped her bare, numb hands to her mouth as she tried in a feeble attempt to warm herself. Frozen pins and needles pricked at her hands before she gave up, resting her head on the log she lay against. If she didn't find shelter soon, this would be the end of the line for her... The thought scared the young burrower and she just blinked sleepily up at the sky above as fat chunks of snow hurdled down from above.

Whilst she fought the endless sleep that pleaded her to submit herself, she didn't register the thick cracking and crunching of heavy, slow steps trodding across the snow somewhere around her. It wasn't until they got dangerously close and stopped that it clicked. Large, rabbit-like ears flicked in the direction of the sounds, or where they used to be as she held still, not daring to move. Her mind raced, had she been hearing things or was there possibly a predator behind her? She was so sleepy that she could feel reality slipping away from her. Before she could turn around after the deafening silence, save her screaming thoughts, a large hand that resembled hers but far larger and without claws gripped the log behind her, to her side.

She suddenly came to be aware of the loud but still soft breathing that was above and behind her. How had she not noticed before?? Was it that in her prayers that there was nothing there, that her brain tricked itself?? Was she really just that out of it?? Didn't matter, she needed to get out of there. As she turned to look up and to the side, she was met with the sight of the other large appendage reaching out and toward her. Y/N made a sad attempt at escape but wasn't very successful before her body was enveloped in the creature's grasp.
