Dear Diary,

Today's the day! Narcissa and Lucius are hosting a big end of summer dinner party and you know who that means will be there. Eloise.

Diary, I've missed her so much. We've been writing to each other but it's not the same. I haven't seen her in which feels like forever. Her parents decided to extend their travelling this summer so she's been basically absent this entire time.

I must look my best for her tonight. Not that Draco needs to know that. Narcissa helped me find a new suit to wear and I just finished combing my hair just right for her. I'm not sure why I'm putting in all this effort. I can't like her like THAT, right?

No. I definitely would know and I'm too unsure at the moment. So, no no no no NO.

I wonder if she looks the same or if she's changed a lot. She's probably got an awesome tan. We don't get the extreme sun in Scotland during the school year so a change of atmosphere must have done wonders to her.

She'll still be beautiful.

Merlin, Lorenzo. Shut up.

Sorry. I don't want to bore you with my continuous talk about her. Apparently Draco already feels that way. I just mention her name and he makes fun of me. I wonder if he likes girls. I wonder if he likes them the way I do.

I wish I could read his mind at times. That's why I need to know if he's using his diary in his secret. Of course, I wouldn't read it.. that's an invasion of privacy.

Maybe a small peek. I'm desperate

"Enzo, dear. Our guests will be arriving soon," Narcissa said, startling me as I quickly shut the book and slid it back into its drawer.

"Do you know when Oise will be getting here?" I asked.

"6pm. The same time I told you 20 minutes ago," She chuckled. "It's ok to admit you have a little crush on her. I won't care".

"I don't. I'm just excited to see my best friend," I assured.

"Well, come downstairs and wait it's 10 till 6 now," She smiled, reading her watch. "You can make sure all the children make their way to the dining room without the adults".

"Got it," I grinned.

She pecked my forehead and turned away, out of the room.

"Kisses from Mummy?" Draco teased, pursing his lips as he barged into my room.

"Get lost, Malfoy," I huffed.

"Just banter. Don't ruin the good mood," He grinned, taking a seat on my bed. "Blaise won't be here till 7.30".

"I wish all our friends could come," I sighed.

"What? You mean like Lucille?" He laughed.

"Are you ever going to drop the blood-prejudice crap? It does you no good and you just end up hurting others," I said.

"You do realise what my father would do to me if I even WANTED to consider that," Draco harshly whispered.

"How would he even know? He doesn't see you at school".

"Enzo, mate. You're never going to understand," He chuckled. "I'm going down now. You coming?"

"Yeah," I quickly turn to face my mirror, checking my hair was neat, along with my clothes.

"Yes, sweetie. You look pretty, hurry up," Draco groaned, sarcastically.

We made our way down the stairs, into the dining room which was slowly starting to fill with guests.

I didn't even know who half these people were. They all look the same. Rich, entitled.

Except for 3 faces that I recognise well.

"Lorenzo, Draco," Eloise smiled, walking up to us and hugging us each.

I was surprised to see how calm she was. She's been known to get overly- excited for things. Maybe she was just as intimidated about being in a room of purebloods like me.

Something had changed about her appearance but not as much as I expected. She did get tan and her freckles layered across her nose. Her cheeks were still sun-kissed from the trip. She's pretty. Beautiful even.

"We have to go into the children's dining room," I said, guiding her away from all the adults.

As the door shut behind us, she finally hugged us again. "Ah, I missed you two so much!" She squealed.

"For a second there, I thought you finally calmed down," Draco groaned, hugging her back.

"Don't pretend like I don't add excitement to your life," She grinned. "Is it just us three in here?"

"Daphne, Astoria, Pansy and Blaise are supposed to be coming," Draco answered with annoyance in his voice.

"Surely Pansy doesn't show up. She knows we all hate her, right?"

"I don't think she cares while Draco is around," I teased, pursing my lips at Draco.

"Ew. That's disgusting," He huffed.

--

We all sat down at the table together with Eloise to my right, Blaise to my left, Daphne and Astoria across and Draco, of course, at the head of the table.

Daphne and Astoria don't seem to talk much. Eloise tries to engage in conversation but they seem pretty reserved.

"I love dinner," Blaise grinned with a mouth full of food.

"Ugh, you're disgusting," Eloise complained, covering her face with her hand which only made Blaise move closer, chewing like a pig.

"So Daphne," Eloise said, moving her attention away from Blaise. "I hear Pansy is supposed to be moving into your dorm when we go back in a few days".

"Yeah. Wasn't she in yours?"

"She was yeah but she just didn't like us for some strange reason," Eloise smirked. "I'm sure you'll have fun with her".

"Wasn't she supposed to be coming tonight?" Astoria added, finally speaking for the first time throughout the night.

"Pansy, just through those doors dear," I hear Narcissa's voice echo.

"Here we go," Oise sighs.

Pansy walked through stopping everyone's chewing. No one really looked her way.

"Hey Pans. Long time, no see," Eloise smirked.

"Same for you, Michaels. Hi everyone," She spoke, talking the seat closest to Draco's. Of course. "Hi Dracy".

"Yeah, hi Dracy baby," Eloise mocked earning daggers from Pansy.

It's hard to contain my laughter. Eloise just always says something that guaranteed to make me laugh.

I don't know what's going to happen with this girl.
