Stand-Off

Ebony Pov:  

After me and my little one took what we thought was worth taking from those dead people. I put him back in my cage and started walking. As much as that camp looked safe, I didn't like the fact of my little one being in the open in the forest with who knows what else wandering around. So I kept moving, and while I was walking my little one was just going through the stuff he got in his backpack. He didn't take much, really only the things we liked or thought might be useful later on. 

But after some time passed and I still hadn't found a suitable play to stay I decided to let my little one stretch his legs. So I took him out of my cage and carefully set him on the ground. After he was on the ground I decided to have a seat on the soft grass and even took off my diving helmet. I didn't normally take it off, but I felt we weren't in any danger and I liked feeling the cold air against my skin. 

Little one: Big sister you're pretty. 

I smiled at my little one's comment. 

Me: Thank you, and I think you're handsome yourself. 

Little one: Really?

Me: Yeah.

Little one: Do you think when we find another little sister I can play with them?

Me: Sure, as long as it's ok with their big daddy. 

Little one: Ok.

My little one smiled and played in the soft grass and I kept watch over him. That's when I heard movement in the trees in the distance. I quickly put my helmet back on and grabbed my little one and set him back in his cage. Once I had him back in his cage I readied both my blades and my light turned a bright yellow. 

Me: Show yourself I know your there!

A few seconds later several young people came out from the trees. 

Me: Who are you people and what do you want?

Ruby Pov:

When we heard the person tell us to come out we all came out slowly behind the trees. I noticed they were wearing some kind of strange helmet that was having a bright yellow light coming from it. While the young child was in a cage on its back. When I heard its voice I was surprised by how it sounded. I knew it had to be a girl's voice, but it sounded I guess what Yang would say is sexy. Wait what am I thinking sexy?!

Me: Umm my name is Ruby, and this is my team RWBY and that's team JNPR.

The girl didn't show any signs of lowering her very sharp blades. 

Me: Umm, well you know my name it's Ruby, this is Yang she's my sister. That's Weiss and Blake. 

WBY: Hi

Me: And the others are Jaune, Nora, Ren, and Pyrrha.

JNPR: Hi.

Girl: I don't care what your names are what do you want?

Me: W-Well you see we were sent by our Headmaster to come and get you. Because he wasn't to meet you.

Girl: Why?

Me: He didn't say. 

Girl: Then I'm not going with you. 

Weiss: But you have to our Headmaster wants to see you.

Girl: I said I'm not going with you. Now leave. 

Weiss: We're not going anywhere until you come with us.

Girl: Is that a threat?

While Weiss and the girl were talking I couldn't help but think about what was she doing! Does she not remember anything I said on the way here!

Weiss: No, but you should be lucky we're not here to take that child. I mean how could you keep them in a cage-like that?

Me: Weiss what are you doing!? 

Weiss: I'm simply stating a fact. 

WHAT IS SHE DOING?! NOW SHE'S THREATENING TO TAKE THE CHILD AWAY! HAS SHE LOST HER MIND?! DOES SHE NOT REMEMBER SEEING HOW STRONG THIS GIRL IS?!

Girl: YOU ARE NOT LAYING A SINGLE FINGER ON MY LITTLE ONE!

When we heard the girl yell, I could feel fear building up inside me. The light in the helmet started to turn bright red, and without warning, she disappeared and reappeared behind Weiss. But before any of us had time to react she stabbed Wiess in the shoulder with one of her blades. Somehow going through her aura. We saw as Weiss started to bleed and the girl lifted her off the ground with her blade in her shoulder. Weiss screamed in pain until the girl threw her off her blade at a tree. I quickly ran over to check to make sure she was ok. But she was unconscious, and I was worried about what this girl was about to do to us if we didn't think of something to calm the situation down and fast. 

When I looked at everyone else I could tell they were scared. Not just because of what she just did to Weiss, but how her blade somehow went through her aura as if it wasn't even there. Yang was close to her hair going on fire, Blake I could tell wanted to run. Jaune was terrified, Nora was standing close to a worried Ren, and Pyrrha was ready to fight. I knew we didn't stand a chance against this girl. She was faster than any of us and more skilled. Not to mention our one thing we have to protect us is useless right now. I knew if I didn't think of a way to calm the situation down and fast, we were in big trouble and could even end up like Weiss or worse.
