The Sandman swears by it,
For it can make you sleep,
And give you sweet and golden dreams
You'll always want to keep.
He sends it on its merry way,
Through ancient jungles, caves, and bays,
But it remains quite hidden
When it travels through the day.
Finally, it reaches you,
Where you lie upon your bed
And dragons spar ten knights apiece
As you calmly rest your head.
The Sandman, sensing your contentment
Sends another wave of sand
So pixies, ogres, and mermaids alike
Join your stay in Faerieland.
