Today was not like any other day. My days go like me going to college, then to the library to study for upcoming tests, then to home. Yes, my days are very boring. But let me introduce myself. My name is Lu, and this is my first year in college and I have no friends. It's not like people don't like me. I'm just very introverted and don't like making new friends. But I guess I shouldn't say I have no friends because I have one person that is always with me, and her name is Maddie. But back to what I was saying today was not like any of my normal days. Yes, I went to college and went to the library but that's when things got interesting. I'm sitting at my normal table that I sit at in the back corner of the library and all I hear is loud thumping coming in my direction.
"LU LU I HAVE EXCITING NEWS" Maddie screams as she runs towards you. I duck my head as people are looking at her as if she's crazy.
"Maddie it's a library you can't be screaming like a crazy person" I said, still ducking my head trying to avoid gaining attention from everyone. She smiles and sits next to me with the biggest smile that I've ever seen.
"You'll never guess where we are going" trying to stay as quiet as she can since she's so excited for whatever she's trying to tell me.
"You mean where you are going cause the only places I go are either to school, this library or to home" I said to her with a raised eyebrow. As she knows that I don't like people and really don't like going anywhere else besides my home.
"You are going to an anime convention since I know how much you love anime and want to go to a convention even though you don't like people so I'm gonna go with you for moral support and because I want to go anyway" she states obviously as she knows you very well. I just sit there thinking about the offer that my friend set on the table.
"If you go you might get to meet my favorite tiktoker too. I know that you would like him if I showed you some of his videos." Maddie is obsessed with this tiktoker named Birlap and yes, I have watched some of his videos also, but she doesn't know that. If she did, then I would never have alone time ever again. I'd have to say that he is a very attractive person, no doubt. But if she is expecting me to go up to that man without having some kind of panic attack then she must be thinking about someone else. Plus, I know that she's not even gonna be calm when meeting him and I'm gonna have to be the one to calm her down and that itself is too much to handle.
"If I say that I'll think about it, will you drop the conversation? I really have to study for my chemistry test in two days." she agreeingly shakes her head knowing that she won't change her mind because of how stubborn she is. Maddie sits next to me and starts giggling at her phone. I know exactly what she's watching. Sometimes I wonder if there is ever a day that she doesn't look at his videos.
"Back at looking at his videos again really" I laughed as I turned to her. She shyly smiles at me.
"I can't help it, he's just perfect." Like I said, this girl is obsessed with this man. Not even she's in love with this man. It's kind of funny how she can fall for someone she may never see but turns down every boy that asks her out. I look at the time and see that it's getting late, so I start to pack my things to go home.
"Maddie, let's go home. We need sleep so we can get up for school tomorrow." She's so distracted by Arny that I have to tap her shoulder to get her attention. We walk out of the library to her house then I walk to mine which isn't that far from hers. When I get inside, I take off my shoes and jacket and sit on the couch. As soon as I sit my phone lights up which means my online friend texted me. He's the only person I talk to besides Maddie. She actually doesn't know about him. I grab my phone and see what he texted.
AP- Hey are you home yet?
Lu- Yeah just got in. But why are you still up at 1:30am?
AP- Couldn't sleep and wanted to talk to you
Lu- Aww someone missed me I see
AP- Don't get so cocky missy ok
Lu- Me cocky I could never
AP- Yeah ok. How was studying?
Lu- It was ok until Maddie came screaming about an anime con she wants me to go to
AP- Are you going?
Lu- Are you crazy my anxiety would go through the roof if i went
AP- You never know you might get to meet me
Lu- You're going to the con?
AP- Yeah, I try to go to as many as I can
Lu- I don't know I'll think about it
AP- Ok let me know what you choose. I'd love to meet you in person
Lu- I promise I'll let you know. And I'd love to meet you too but I'd be too nervous to actually talk
AP- Love, don't be scared. We've been talking for 5 months now.
Lu- I know but you never saw what I look like, so I scared that I'm not what you expect
AP- Love you being you is all I expect nothing more nothing less just you
Lu- How can you calm me down without trying
AP- You can really get to know a person in 5 Months
Lu- I just noticed that you called me love
AP- Are you ok with it? Cause if not I won't call you that
Lu- no I like it actually
AP- Ok I'm glad. You should try and sleep is late
Lu- it's been late a while ago so why sleep now
AP- Cause don't you have school tomorrow
Lu- Yeah so
Ap- Then you are gonna need sleep so go sleep
Lu- And what if I don't want to sleep you can't do anything about it
AP- Oh really now
Lu- Yeah really
AP- I could just not talk to you for a week. You wouldn't like that now huh
Lu- that's not fair
AP- So you either sleep or no talking to me for a week
Lu- Fine
AP- Hey don't be like that
Lu-.....
AP- You know I don't want you to go but you have school
Lu-....
AP- Come on please
Lu-....
AP- You know what fuck it stay
Lu- You mean it?
AP- Like I said I didn't want you to leave anyway so I was trying to act "responsible" but i rather have you with me
Lu- Aww now you're stuck with me
AP- I'd love to be stuck with you
It's been a few hours since we've been talking and I'm starting to not be able to keep my eyes open.
Lu- Hey imma go to bed now
Ap- Ok sleep well Love
I smile at the message and fall asleep.
