my aunt interrupted our hugging time and sighed.
"c'mon guys we have to get ready to go to your parents funeral" I lookup at tony and he kisses me on the cheek. tony is 9 years old and I want to be like him whe im older.
"come on Kat we have to get you changed" my aunt says to me. Kat is the nickname they gave me when I was one. I guess it was cute enough to keep.
I get up and walk over to my aunt who is holding a black dress and a black headband she picks me up and puts me on the toilet. she plugs in the curling iron and wait till it heats up. I take this time to look at what she is wearing. I smile big. she is wearing my favorite outfit that she has. a black knee high tight dress that has long sleeves. she is wearing galaxy vans but she wouldn't wear those to the funeral. she probably has heels in the car. she turns around and sees my smile. she instantly knows why and twirls around laughing
"you like?" she asked amused by my stare. I nod quickly and she laughs, for the first time in three months. I smile bigger and get up from the toilet seat and hug around her legs
"you laughed and smiled, I make you happy" I whispered and she pulled me off and stared in my eyes"you understand too much" she laughs. and puts me back on the toilet seat and puts on sweet dreams by Marilyn manson.my favorite. "sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree, travel the world and the seven seas everybody's looking for something. some of them want to use you some of them want to get used by you, some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused." I sing along while my aunt stared at me shocked. I shrugged and she got the iron and did my hair. after she was done she put my hair in a ponytail and put me in the dress and put the headband in her purse. tony knocked on the bathroom door and I let him in. he looked at me bewildered.
"what?" I ask obviously confused
"nothing. just admiring how pretty you look kat"
"thanks"
"no problem, I love you sissy"
"i love you much brodder" I respond to him.
