"I came here because I wanted to ask you something."
You attempted to eavesdrop on the conversation at Dani and Chunyoung's desk, but couldn't catch much. Ju-In and Ji-Ho urged you not to pry, encouraging you to concentrate on their game instead.
You nodded in agreement as you averted your gaze, only to be distracted by a loud thwack sound.
You spun around to find the girl from another class slapping Dani's hand upon her attempt to wake Chunyoung, who appeared to be asleep.
The noise startled Chunyoung into wakefulness, and he looked at Dani, appearing somewhat puzzled. As his gaze shifted, he noticed the girl from another class standing beside his desk, a blush on her face as she shyly declared, "C-Chunyoung...I have something to say to you,"
Chunyoung regarded the girl with a dispassionate expression, then let out a weary sigh and handed his earphones to Dani.
He got up, instructing the girl to accompany him outside, which prompted her to glare at Dani, who in return, looked at her with a puzzled and slightly hostile look, as if wondering what she had done to deserve such treatment.
The girl exclaimed loudly, demanding, "No. Wait, I'll tell you right here." Her bold declaration drew the attention of everyone in the class, and all eyes were now fixed on their direction.
The girl swallowed nervously, A blush on her face before blurting out the confession "I like you, Chunyoung. Please go out with me!"
"I'm sorry" Chunyoung swiftly dismissed her, politely but firmly, rejecting her advance and offering his sincere apologies.
An awkward silence enveloped the classroom as everyone took in the rejection. The girl, visibly hurt, clenched her fists tightly and demanding an answer, "Why...Why don't you like me? Huh??"
Chunyoung averted his gaze, offering no reply. This only fueled the girl's irritation, prompting her to raise her voice "Don't just stand there. Answer me!!"
Frustrated, she implored, "You hate me so much that you had to reject me in front of everyone?!"
You interrupted just as Chunyoung was about to offer an apology again even though he did nothing wrong. Rising from your seat, you asserted "Don't apologise, Chunyoung! It's not your fault. She chose to confess here instead of taking up your offer to speak outside."
The girl immediately whipped around and lashed out at you, "This is not your business so you better keep quiet!"
You, undaunted, promptly retorted, "It is my business if you're making my friend uncomfortable and putting him in an awkward situation right in front of everyone."
