beep...beep...beep
"I know that noise" I thought groggily as I woke up, opening my eyes to a very bright room and shutting them quickly wincing as the light burned my retinas.
I carefully and slowly opened them again and blinked to focus seeing a white room with a hospital machinery around me and tubes going into my body. I looked to my left and saw a chair being used by a guy with a mop of blonde hair strewn messily around and in a black under armor shirt and blue jeans sleeping on his arms letting out light snores.
I heard the heart monitor beeper faster to my now racing heart and the guy quickly shot up looking around before his eyes landed on me, I was shocked to say he looked just like me same cheek bones, green eyes, cute little button nose and when he smiled it was a crooked one filled with happiness and laughter so different from mine which was nothing at all, I couldn't help but think of when Mark smiled,usually when he was going to hit me.
I quickly shrank back into my pillows fearing that he was going to hit me, like Mark did. I felt fear rise in me causing me to shut my eyes quickly and whimpered as memories tore through my mind.
He saw my reaction and his eyes dulled, along with his smile. He took a breath and said, " Now I-I know this is weird and I know you don't know me, but I'm a really nice guy and I would really like to know you better-gosh that sounded stalker like didn't it? I swear I'm not a stalker I promise and I hope you know that and I'm rambling!!!" I just looked at him before bursting into giggles, I couldn't help it he was so weird and funny!!! I stopped though when a sharp pain remainder me of my broken ribs.
He seemed to crack a smile at me before sitting down and saying with a deep voice, " Yeah well I'm Jackson, Jackson Whittmore and you kinda broke your ribs, three of them and you also have some head trauma and your leg is bruised along with your shoulder real bad and also I know this is going to sound crazy-believe me I almost passed out when I heard it but ummm Ashley I'm your brother..."
