_____________________________________________________________________________The atmosphere was so heavy that it could be cut with a knife. The tension of a trial was felt from afar. But surpassing all that was the feeling of pain, betrayal, hatred, anger and many negative feelings in Maki's heart as she looked at Tsumugi's sickening smile: the girl she loved- loves, so much.
"No...no...nonono! This is all a lie, a LIE!" Maki screams desperately; her beloved was not how she thought she was. Everything they went through, all the killing, all the screaming and crying that happened. It was all her fault. Reality strikes Maki's heart like a blade, and for the first time she crumbles and cries in front of everyone. Kiibo remains quiet, as if his system has given up everything.
"M-maki! Calm down!" Shouts Himiko, but she was too paralyzed in what was revealed to really try to help Maki. Even though she was scared, it wasn't hard to see the sadness in her eyes when she realized that her friends Angie and Tenko had died because of a person she trusted so much. Tsumugi, though she hides it well; she feels pain in her heart seeing Maki cry like that, her cries of pain are like daggers in her heart. She loved her, but she knew it was impossible for them to even be together.
Kaito feels hatred, anger, and doesn't even care about Maki crying on the floor. He faces Tsumugi with all possible anguish. "You monster! It's all your fault... you killed everyone! Wasn't imprisoning us enough?"
He says with all the anger in the world in his body. Despite this, it was clear that he was afraid of what Shirogane was capable of. But his fondness for Shuichi: one of the victims of Tsumugi's actions was uncontrollable...even though Shuichi only had Rantaro in his heart. Despite this, Tsumugi begins to laugh; a laugh that echoes through the walls, giving chills to all who were present.
"Do you really think you are capable of doing something against me? I am in control of everything! Either you die or live here forever! After all, that's what the outside world wants!"
""O-Outside world"?" Maki questions, not understanding what Tsumugi means by that.
"It's simple! Everything that occurred here was nothing but fiction and entertainment . You guys don't really exist and you're trapped here in a reality show!" Even if it seems impossible, after Tsumugi's arduous words, the atmosphere gets even worse.
"Fi-fiction? R-reality show?! I-I can't understand it...I can't believe that Angie wasn't real." Himiko says hopelessly, trying not to shed heavy cries for help. Which was not possible, as nothing but sorrow went through her mind when she realized that her beloved; Angie was the victim of a reality show and was killed for the amusement of others. She would have never imagined it, and upon seeing that it was true, it felt like her whole core was going to come out.
"No...I refuse to believe this...it's all lies! You-you're trying to mess with our heads!" Kaito denies it firmly, he tries his best not to believe Tsumugi.
After a while, Kiibo seems to return to "normal," despite this, he still seems out of his mind. "We'll take you down Tsumugi!" That's all he says, to everyone's shock at his immediate comeback.
"Yes! We'll beat you!" Himiko agrees with Kiibo frankly. Kaito nods his head in agreement. Maki remains quiet, looking at Tsumugi
Ultimate Annihilation
After a grueling class trial, Tsumugi is overpowered. The cosplayer explodes at the sight of all her hard work being destroyed. "No! Dan-danganronpa will never die! It's what the outside world wants! I-I can't lose...I-I'm going to escape!"
Tsumugi breaths heavily, she wasn't going to accept defeat easily.
"Its the end, Tsumugi Shirogane"
Kiibo says, a powerful aura of determination and hope shining within his robotic body as if harmonic with his metal composition.Maki just watches the girl who was so deep in her heart, watched her go away, and realize of how she couldn't do nothing, nothing at all, not even join her lover in the cold embrace of death.
Successful Execution
This is it. They finally came to the end, arrived at the final destination of a gruelsome journey who counted with the feats of amazing people and their soul-crushing deaths, but still standing strong in the hearts of those who managed to survive; as if a way to show the whole world that they are alive, that they indeed could make it- a "I told you so." to all who doubted them.
Even so, as glorious as it seems to have a kind of "good ending"; all of their hearts ached for what they've become, for what it could've been, sad to realize that it didn't happen. Not a trace of her, not her clothes, not her glasses, not her hair, not her so, so alluring smile with her lovely giggles.
Maki sulked in the blissfull memories, a sort of ephemera in the transient and oh so happy past, a piece of what it was and what she hoped could've been forever.
But it's never going to be, she's never going to enjoy the soothing embrace of the blue-haired girl again, forever gone the joyful talks and dialogues that made her know and fall in love with the girl with the glass-protected eyes. Forever gone is the warmth of two lips colliding as if there was no tomorrow, an intimate touch that expressed words and emotions without any verbal exchange.
Gone, Tsumugi Shirogane seemed to carry away a part of her soul with her. Almost an illusory figure, she began to convince herself that her beauty was indeed an illusion—stunning yet ultimately unattainable, a fleeting presence in her life. Each memory felt like a whisper of something profound, a moment that flickered brightly before vanishing into the ether.Maybe the day would come when Tsumugi would be forgotten, her memory slipping away like sand through fingers, leaving only an echo of laughter and a ghostly trace of beauty. Or perhaps, in a twist of fate, she would awaken one morning to find herself in Tsumugi's arms, the warmth of her presence dispelling the shadows of doubt.
That way, she would hold her so tight as if clinging as to not let her be just a memory, Tsumugi would look into her eyes and laugh with her charming smile once again, like it always was.
But she let go, and she won't be able to have it back ever again.
