Andres
When Andres first arrive, he makes derogatory comments about how he don't belong at Penderghast. Andres theorize that he may have sent the Shadow Monster after his due to his rude behavior earlier. he openly antagonizes you in 's class, which leads to you losing control of your fire spell. He apologizes for his behavior, admits he was rude, and asks for a chance to start over. He also teaches him the Round Up spell and and tells Andres the legend of aka The Dread, a nefarious criminal in the Magickal world. Andrest tells Zeph that Beckett's not really a jerk. He's more like a "total nerd". Andres believe he wants people to think he's cool, but doesn't really know what cool is. he tells Ahe finds his company "most tolerable".
Iit is revealed that he was the Pend Pal that saw in the Mirror Dimension and unintentionally put him in danger by studying forbidden magick for freshmen. Andres decide to forgive him
Pend Pals
Andres invites Beckett to join his friends when he need to update them about everything that has happened thus far. introduces the group to the Roost, and surprises him with a Pend Pals bracelets since she had made an extra in case lost his. IShreya is able to convince him to come to the Winter Solstice rave, it is assumed he sits with her and Zeph during the varsity Thief matches.
he explains to the group that he has never had a great deal of friends, as he previously thought they would hinder him and get in the way of his achievements. He thought being welcomed by the Pend Pals was one of the worst things that happened to him, because he lost sight of his goals and started caring about other people. But now that he knows Andres and the group, he has been doing everything in his power to help, to get strong enough to defeat Raife's monsters.
Katrina Harrington
is Beckett's older sister. Although he talks fondly about her throughout Book 1, he is upset when she surprises him by becoming one of his professors at Penderghast. To him, she is there to steal his thunder and to make sure that he doesn't upset her achievements; when told that he is probably misreading the situation and her intentions, he tells you that it's difficult as he has always been compared to her as if they were twins or closer in age even though they are not, because all most people see is the name "Harrington" rather than the individuals.
Beckett becomes increasingly intimidated by her intentions, especially noting her position as a professor. IBeckett is embarrassed by Katrina gushing over her little brother. Katrina expresses remorse for making Beckett feel lesser than her, that she just wanted to be a "cool older sister," and announces that she had nominated him for the "Attuned Magickae Uitrus Award.
