Henry was on his way home from getting groceries when he smelled something terrible in an alleyway.
He decided to investigate the foul smell. What he saw next to the dumpster shocked him.
It was the old Springbonnie suit. It had been burned badly.
He knew what that meant.
William ahd once again returned.
Suddenly the old and rotten animatronic seemed to activate itsself.
But there wasn't the typical Springbonnie.exe powering on, instead it just straight up stared at him. It was visible that the animatronic was trying to move but it couldn't. It slowly started raining.
As the first few drops started entering the old suit, Henry heard the familiar sound of spring locksgoing loose and attaching to the main endoskeleton.
It was only then that Henry knew that William was still in there.
How could it be any different.
Blood started pouring from the suit and there were creepy and raspy gasps for air.
Henry had an illusion disc on him. An invention him and William had worked on before everything went downhill. He grabbed it from his picked and carefully put it onto the side of Springtraps head.
He activated it and for sure, there was William cowering and wincing in pain. "So it really was you?", Henry asked. William only looked up for a short while before putting his attention back on his hurting body.
Henry sighed. He would regret it.
"You can come with me. Hell you can even stay with me, but only for long enough until the rain stops.", Henry said looking down at William in disgust. William tried to open his mouth to speak but only a few robotic sounds escaped.
It was obvious that he had to rely on a voice box to speak and most likely just that voicebox broke.
" Keep your trap shut. I will fix your voicebox when we're at my place. Try anything and you're out.", Henry said.
William nodded and carefully got up.
Henry regretted the choice he had made but he was a man of his words.
Him and William went back to Henry's house.
As they entered, Henry gave William a few fresh clothes of his since he was just a tad taller than William and told him to take a shower.
William did as he was told and put on the hoodie and pants Henry had given him. At first he thought it was funny that Henry was still dumb enough to let him in but soon he started to feel something else.
Was it remorse? Did he feel bad about killing Charlotte? All he wanted was Henry's undivided love and attention but what he had gone had given him the exact opposite of what he had hoped to achieve.
Leaving the bathroom, he was about to make his way upstairs to where Henry was most likely when he passed Charlotte's room.
The door was open.
What he saw inside at first glance made him feel even worse.
It was a puppet William and Elizabeth had made as a project to surprise Charlotte on her birthday.
He stood there just staring at the toy and he suddenly felt himself getting angry. Not at Henry, not at Elizabeth or Charlotte but at himself.
He had been so selfish.
Has he ever even truly cared about Henry? He had killed what he had loved most.
No. He didn't truly care for Henry. He cared about himself and getting his own pleasure.
"William? Where are you?", Henry shouted. William heard steps coming up the stairs but he just kept on staring at the doll with a blank expression.
"What are you looking at?", Henry asked, at first he was a bit angry because William dared to look into the room of his daughter that he had killed. That was until he saw what William was staring at.
It was Charlotte's favorite possession.
"Let's just go to bed. You sleep in my room, I sleep on the couch.", Henry said but William didn't move.
At this point Henry was pretty much annoyed.
He snapped his fingers in front of William's eyes, taking him back to reality. "Henry? Since when are you here?", William asked, he was startled to say the least.
"I've been here for a whole five minutes William. I found you staring at the doll when you didn't reply to my calls.", Henry answered.
William just replied with 'Oh'.
"Anyways. You go sleep in my room.", Henry said but William shook his head. "You sleep in your room, I don't sleep anyways. Has been too long since I last did and I can't get myself to sleep anymore.", William said.
Henry wasn't ready to take a no.
"Then you'll leave the house.", Henry demanded.
William didn't react to that. He felt like he deserved it for what he has done in the past.
Henry just sighed. Was this really the man that had killed his daughter?
"William seriously. Stop ignoring me.", Henry was annoyed.
"Apologies.", William just said nonchalantly.
Now was Henry's turn to be startled. He knew that while being alive William had always been the formal guy. But never towards Henry.
"Okay seriously. Are you a fake William or something? You don't act like the man that killed my daughter at all, not to mention how quiet you've been these past few minutes.", Henry snapped.
"I don't know..", William responded looking at Henry blankly.
"Frankly, your behavior is annoying me. I can't read you at all and you used to be terrible at hiding stuff.", Henry said.
"I wasn't."
"What was that?", Henry asked confused.
"I wasn't terrible at hiding things. Not if I even fooled myself.", William repeated.
"How did you fool yourself.", Henry asked. "I thought I truly cared about you. I thought you were important to me when in reality you weren't. And I didn't even know it myself. I fooled myself to the point where I killed Charlie, thinking it would be better because then there would be Noone in the way of me caring for you. But if I ever did care about you, I wouldn't have done that. I just came to realise that everything was just fake. That I only odd it to pleasure my selfish needs and wants. ", William said, which left Henry shocked.
" But why tell me? Wouldn't it have made more sense for you to keep it hidden? ", Henry asked not able to make a rhyme out of the situation.
William was challenged by this question. He thought about it for a second before replying.
"Being honest, it just felt right. I don't remember the last time I was being honest about something.", William replied. He looked puzzled and seemingly didn't understand his own emotions.. "You know what.. Just, go to sleep.", Henry said.
William shook his head.
"What now William?", Henry asked, by this point seriously at the end of his nerves.
"Don't wanna sleep. Always ends horrible." William finally spoke.
"How does it end horrible.?", Henry asked, puzzled by the answer.
"Souls... Their haunting me.", William answered, almost whispering.
Henry facepalmed.
Of course. He knew that they had chased William into the suit and obviously they weren't planning on letting him off the hook by only killing him.
"Wanna sleep with me then?", Henry asked. William just nodded and together they went to bed. William didn't have to say anything but somehow Henry knew that William had learned from his past mistakes and that he felt remorse about the deaths of those children...
