I was sitting on the chair and didn't even dare to talk. I can still feel my mom's glare at my side. Fuck. I'm dead.

"Explain," my mom said, with her serious tone.

I was even more nervous because I know what my mom would do to me when she's angry.

"I-i didn't attend the celebration
yesterday because I was too busy working in my restaurant-"

My mom cut me off as she spoke.

"I called your secretary yesterday and
she said you had already gotten off to work at that time. So, where have you been? "

Nothing could compare how my heart beating so fast right now. Should I tell her the truth? Not at all. She would get even more angry when she found out I was in another house that day. In the house of a perverted woman!

That fucking night. I still remember all of it. And it was so shameful. We did it again. I even swore to myself that I wouldn't let her touch me again, but shits, I failed again.

After that night, I didn't hesitate to escape again after she fell asleep. I couldn't bear to see a woman next to me in bed while we were both naked.

"Are you listening, Y/N?" My mom snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at her and smiled nervously. What should I say to her?

"Y-yes, mom. That night, I was in my
friend's condo. The rain was so heavy that I couldn't drive properly, so I decided to stay there until the rain stopped," I said and forced a smile.

My mom's twinching eyes make me poke out of the nervous feeling.

"Are you sure? Why didn't I see your car in the parking lot? " She asked again. Her voice was like she was investigating a criminal.

"M-my car was out of fuel, so I just left it at her condo." I answered.

I saw how her expression changed. She was satisfied with what she heard from me. My mom's beautiful smile was flashing across her face.

"I'm sorry, daughter. I'm just worried about you. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. It's fine if you didn't attend my celebration, as long as you're safe. That's the important thing." My mom said that made my heart flutter. I smiled spontaneously.

My mom won the cooking contest at the big competition in Los Angeles. So she came home here to celebrate her win. Because of what happened, I was not able to attend.

"What's wrong with that?" She suddenly pointed at my neck. "Why is there so much red on your neck?"

Shits!

"I-it's a mosquito bite. Don't mind it." I feigned a laugh so she wouldn't notice that I was lying.

"Malaria mosquito. It's big, though. Anyway, I need to go. I still have important things to do. " My mom said, and she stood up.

I also stood up. She walked out of the house.

"By the way, I forgot to tell you that Ada was here. Your cousin. She's on the play ground with her nanny. She is waiting for you. I know she missed you so much." She said, so I smiled and nodded.

"Okay mom, I'm going to take care of Ada."

She waved her hand as a good bye and got into her car. I smiled and watched the car leave.

I turned around and walked to the play ground. When I got there, I immediately saw Ada playing Barbie with her nanny.

"When will mommy Y/N arrive here? I want to see her. " She said while pulling the hair of the two barbies that she hold.
