Love me, Love Me Not. [A/F]

Summary: reader is emotionally and physically distant with Eivor. Even with her struggle to accept the readers distant love she attempts to save the reader from herself.+ modern AU

A/N: I know Eivor speaks Norse but you know the whole ancient language thing so she speaks Norwegian. (I also used google translate.)

Eivor wipes her eyes before leaving the bathroom. This wasn't the fist time you had unintentionally made her cry. Being with you was the first time she had cried in years.

It's not that you were cruel to her. It was the fact that no matter how hard she tried you were so distant. Before you two were an item you were so romantic and open.

But now that you were together, gods, she was more miserable than ever. She loved you, she truly did. She just didn't know how much longer she could go without your previous affections.

She came out of the bathroom, ready to try with you again. You were sitting on the couch watching tv.

She sit a considerable distance away from you, slowly scooting closer only for you to scoot away. She lets out a frustrated sigh.

"Do you even love me?" Eivor cries out. What was she doing wrong? Your surprised, she can that by the way your eyes go wide and your body slightly shakes.

"How could you ask me that?" You whimper out. You eyes still blown wide, you scoot towards her, embracing her, "I do love you, I'm sorry I don't show it" you breathe out.

Eivor was shaking, she didn't know what to do. This was the first time you've hugged her since you got together.

She slowly wrapped her arms around gently but tightly, she was so scared and angry. "Talk to me, tell me what's going on or I'm leaving. Where's the lovely girl that took on dates?"

You didn't say anything, just embracing her. Sucking in a breath, you began to explain. "I'm scared, I'm so scared ... that you won't want anymore. I want to hug you and talk to you" you stop. "Keep going my love" Eivor encourages.

"But what if I talk to much or what if you don't want me to touch as much as you think you do" you ask.

Eivor didn't know what to say, the reason you were so distant was because you'd manage to convince yourself that she didn't want you.

"min kjærlighet" she coos, "du er mitt alt, det er ingenting jeg kan hate med deg" she continues. "Jeg elsker deg" she says.

You smile, you may not have known what she said but by the delicate and caring tone you could tell that it was endearing.

"I love you" you smile, pulling her closer.

She couldn't be happier, it was then she knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with you.
