You walked down the dirt path in the woods your sword in hand, trying to find the demon you lost, "how could I lose that damn demon, come out you coward." You heard footsteps behind you once you turned around you saw a tall demon with 6 eyes, long black hair with red tips, you ready your sword, you could tell just by looking at him he was upper moon 1, the vibe changed all around you. 'Okay, I can do this. I won't lose to another upper moon.' You said to yourself.

"Flame breathing first form: unknown fire - The user charges towards their opponent at high speeds and aims to decapitate them in one slash

The demon stepped back and avoided the attack, 'I know this isn't gonna happen easy, but I'm gonna have to go all out if I want to beat this guy.' You went for his neck again, but he blocked it, this time with the sword he was carrying with him.

Small time skip

Your pov

How long have I been fighting this demon, I can barely feel my arms and legs, my breathing is becoming uneven, I don't know what to do, is this how  die. So many thoughts ran through my head. "Take a deep breath and let it out slowly." "Huh?" This demon is he giving me advice. I took one deep breath and let it iut slowly, my arms and legs started to feel somewhat okay, and my breathing was back to normal. "You are a strong demon slayer, but you still have a ways to go. Flame breathing is a hard thing to master, I'm surprised someone like you could master it."

"Shut it demon and prepare to die, Flame breathing second form: rising scorching sun."  - The user releases an arching sword slash upwards.

This time I think I can get him, I suddenly felt a small pain in my stomach, he kicked me away, and I coughed up blood, it hurts it hurts like hell. "Ah-ahhhhhh" He came closer to me I was at my limit, this was it for me. "I'm not here to hurt you, you know." "Huh?" He sat down next to me to look at the small cuts on my body. "I'm only here because you caught my eye, you remind me of someone I use to know, I don't know why but I feel the need to protect you." 'A Demon? Protecting a human? There's no way it's not possible?' I was trying to think of a way that this could be a joke but nothing came to my mind.

"What's your name?" He looked up from my arms, seemingly as if I'd be fine. "Kokushibo, and I already know yours, y/n." "Well that's not creepy at all." Kokushibo helped me up, and walked me back to the demon slayer Co, then we went our separate ways.

Time skip to 5 years later

A human. A Demon.

Find it hard to believe that they both would come to love each other, Kokushibo would do anything to protect me, and I did everything to protect him. I was able to help him break free of muzans control, and it took some convincing to the master and the others not to kill him. "Kokushibo come on, we got another mission to get too." Kokushibo came out of his bed and walked over to me, as I finished putting my sword in its holder. "You ready." I asked him "yes." Kokushibo shunk down to a small size, and climbed into the box I had my master make me, I was about to shut the door when he called my name.

"Y/n, can you promise me something " "what's that." He kissed my forehead looked away from me. "Just don't almost die this time, again." My face was red, he just told me he likes me. I smiled. "I promise, now let's go." I put the box on my back and we headed to the village were the next mission was.

"I promise you Kokushibo, I would never leave you, or lose you."
