“Polina!” Maria yelled running into her best friends’ arms. Maria's Face in Polina chest because Polina was taller than her. They wrapped Their arms around one another.
“Happy birthday Maria,” Polina smiled holding her friend in her arms. “I got you a gift,” Polina said pulling a small bag out of her pocket and gave it to Maria.
Maria took the bag and pulled the string off. In the bag was a small necklace.
“Thank you, Polina,” Maria said putting the necklace around her neck. “How do I look?” asked Maria.
“Beautiful, as always,” Polina answered.
1:00 in the afternoon
They went to the garden to talk about everything that was happening, the revolution the fighting, and Maria’s dad was making bad decisions.
They were holding teacups with their Pinky’s out. There was also a tray of cheese, meat, fruit, and crackers on the table in front of them.
“People are going against him and your family! I’m scared what could happen to you.” Polina said and put her hands on Maria’s cheeks. Maria put a hand on Polina right hand.
“I’ll be fine, I promise,” she said both hands on Polinas’.
“lets go inside, ok?”
“Yeah, sounds good,”
They went up to Maria room and sat on the bed. Polina put her head on Maria’s lap and sighed.
“Are you ok?” asked maria.
Polina stuttered, “I-I'm scared. For you, your life, your family,”
“I’ll be fine, ok? Maria said.
Polina stared up into Maria’s eyes.
“Ok...”
