Me and Alicio were here, outside of a concentration camp. Stranded. We had to run fast before the nazis reached us. We started running up the hill where my snipers nest was. There I found my backpack and my scope. I applied the scope onto my sniper. All better now.
"Take this." I said as I gave him my new German sniper rifle.
"What's your story?" he asked me.
"I was sent to a concentration camp after passing out and being in a short three day coma, there I found a nazi helping Jews escape, I went to a partisan unit, there I joined their little 150 man army, I was assigned as a sniper, guard duty and support. This morning we came to help our unit get partisans out of this camp and as soon as I saw you I ran down looking or you, and I used this thing."
I said as I showed him the old flintlock
"Where did you..." he said as soon as I interrupted.
"The same nazi who helped me and the others." I interrupted.
"Oh." he replied.
"Well... Now we're here... Stranded, alone." I said.
"Yup." he replied trying to sound happy.
"I have a sandwich and a water bottle, but that's all." I replied.
"Do you know the way to your fort?" He asked.
"I'm pretty sure." I said.
"Good." he then said.
"Okay, let's go this way and stay quiet, there could be nazis nearby at any minute." I told him as I pointed down at a forest underneath the hill.
We started walking down, each of us armed with a sniper rifle, and with only a sandwich with a water bottle.
"Wait a second." I said.
I kneeled down and looked at the German backpack that I never had time to look at before. I opened it up, inside there were, three clips of ammo for the sniper which I handed to Alicio, a small water bottle, a bag with two loaves of bread and a pistol, a Mauser with two spare clips.
"I'll take this!" I said excitedly as I grabbed the pistol, I gave Alicio my flintlock pistol, my ammo and the small sack of gunpowder. Then I grabbed the Mauser, put it all in my pocket except the handle, and put the clips in the other pocket, the gun was quite bulky. I let Alicio keep the backpack which had only the loaves of bread, the sniper ammo, and the small water bottle.
"Let's start walking now." I said.
We started walking, it felt almost endless and then we saw something. It was made of stone or rusty metal, I couldn't tell at this distance. The structure was an opening that seemed to lead down, underground.
"Hey Alicio, do you see that?" I said as I pointed towards the structure.
"Yes, do you know what it is?" He asked.
"No, but let's check it out." I said.
We started running, I felt like I was being watched but no one knows if that's even a true feeling so I just kept running. We got to the entrance of the structure. It looked pretty much the same as what I saw before, but now I could see lights down the stairs, and I wondered, should we go in?
"Should we go in?" Said Alicio.
"Yes." I said.
We walked down the steps, slowly. There were four doors, and on the ceiling there was an old German flag.
"Looks like this is a German bunker." I said.
"That means there might be Germans." said Alicio in a scared tone.
"Just hold your weapon ready and take the scope off since this is all close range. And make good use of that silencer, don't use the pistol unless it's an emergency." I told him.
I slightly opened the door and aimed through.
"Clear." I whispered.
We walked in the room, our rifles at the ready. There seemed to be no one. We observed the room, it looked like an office, it seemed weird to have one of these in a bunker. I opened all of the drawers. Aha! There was an MP-40, perfect German firepower. It wasn't the strongest weapon in the world but at least it was an automatic. I already had an automatic, my Mauser so I thought about giving it to Alicio.
"Take this." I told Alicio as I threw the MP at him.
"Woah..." he replied.
"Hast Du gehört dass?" said a German voice in the distance.
"Crap there's Germans here!" I told Alicio as we started running and panicking out of the bunker.
"NACH IHNEN!" said the Germans.
"Awe crap we have to get out..." I told Alicio.
"Let's go to the tree with the bushes!" he exclaimed as he pointed at a tree surrounded with bushes.
I ran to it and slid behind the tree. It was an average sized tree, or at least big enough to give us both enough cover.
"Attach your scope, we're sniping now..." I told Alicio as I saw a small six man group of Germans armed with MPs, then I realized one of them had only a pistol... Maybe because we stole his MP...
We attached our scopes on our guns and aimed at the Germans.
"Shoot the guys with any type of communications device first." I told him.
Each having the same idea, we shot the same guy and then Alicio hit the other communications person. Now the nazis were scared, looking around to find us... The "silent killers."
One Nazi was smart enough to take cover while the others layed down flat on the ground looking for us.
Bang! bang! Rang our shots.
Two more.
Bang! Bang! They went again.
"Easy" we each said at the same time. Once again we had the same idea to loot the bodies. All we got were two grenades, and 1 salad, 1 meat sandwich, and a bag of chips.
We carried the bodies inside and hid them in a closet so that no one would know what happened. It scared me thinking of the lives of these people and how they might've been before the war. If they had happy lives at all. One person had a diary, and cruel as I was I took it.
As we walked on in the path to get to the fort we stopped at a lonely place in the woods, it was 12:00 now and we thought we should eat lunch. I ate my sandwich and Alicio ate the beef sandwich we had found just before.
"This tastes great!" Exclaimed Alicio.
"For you..." I told him as I looked at my sandwich consisting of only cheese and ham. And very little cheese too. It didn't taste bad but looking at Alicio eating his sandwich made me pretty jealous.
