We Remembered!

I didn't remember much until now... but I DO remember. It took five years but I definitely remember. I was the first one killed once he swore revenge against the humans. My sister....my dear sweet little sis was the second one he had taken. There were a few more children whom had succumbed to the unfortunate events of our time in the underground. While I cant say for certain what the others had went through, I remember most of what happened to me. When I had revived, I couldn't recall ANYTHING outside of falling into the underground. I remembered traversing the ancient ruins, the snowy town and even the waterfalls. But...i began to draw a blank of what happened once I reached some sort of city. I didn't really care at the moment. All I know is that me, my sister and four children were confused and lost. Not to mention for some reason in pain. The pain only lasted for a few hours but for some reason it faded away. As if our bodies just needed to readjust to....something.

We ended up finding our way back to the surface thanks to the overwhelmingly shiny sun... and after that we managed to make our journeys back to our respective homes. Needless to say, our parents were in tears. Mom and dad said my sister and I had been missing for YEARS. If I hadn't seen how much they had aged I wouldn't have believed them. It didn't FEEL like I was gone for years. I thought maybe it was some weird time related crap. I mean the monsters down there knew magic so at that point I was ready to believe anything.

Anyway, life went on! For about a good five years. Occasionally I had these weird nightmares. I kept seeing this weird goat monster. He was holding something that looked like a pitchfork? Hell, I can't recall. I just know it's a recurring dream that I had all the way up until I learned the truth about what happened. My sister said she saw the same thing in HER dreams. We wondered if it was some kind of sign. I went to a dream specialist just last year around April.... and she told me I wasn't the first case of having weird recurring dreams. Big shock, right? BUT then she said she knew of four other people who had come to her with a similar problem of seeing suspiciously well-known monsters. Four other children? The whole scenario set off red flags in my head. Somehow, I knew it had to be the other people she had been referring to whom I had woke up with on that strange day. To think I had remembered them after all that time. I asked her if she could tell me about them which of course she couldn't. Patient confidentiality and all that. I guess that was fair. I wouldn't be able to go find them, but perhaps I didn't need to. I reinforced how important it was to talk to these people, to which her response was a group session. That way if they wanted to talk to me, they could. This was acceptable to me. This! This is when we slowly began to learn the truth. This is where we realized that Justice had yet to be served! I'm getting ahead of myself though. Let's go back to when we first decided to confront our assailants.

"Hi everyone! My name is Adalci, and...well I have these weird dreams too", I said as I waved." There were definitely some surprised glances thrown at me. I assumed it was more than likely that they recognized me as one of the "lost children". All these years and they still remember me? I wonder why that is....

The next one to speak up was the young lady with the light blue eyes. She was wearing a big light blue ribbon around her head as well. "Adalci? I remember you! It's me! Sabirah!"

"Ah yes I see. It's me, Kai! Remember", the one with green eyes asked as he smiled. He was wearing a green apron. I couldn't tell what it said because it looked like it was in Japanese writing. Maybe he just came from a cooking class?

I saw another smile come from the lady whom was across from him. She was wearing purple glasses that nearly covered her purple eyes, and seemed to be carrying a purple book as well. It looked to be about coping with nightmares. "Oh! It's me! Constance! So good to see you all again.

The last one to reintroduce themself was the man with the orange gloves. He also had an orange bandana around his neck that went well with his orange-colored eyes. "Am Fadey!" Still wearing that yellow Fedora after all these years", he said as he looked at me. "Hey, where is sister"? The second he asked, everyone looked over at me.
