part one:meeting ellie

Y/n's pov

I was walking near some larg gates I then heard a noise it made me jump so I pulled my gun out just in case if it was a runner I decided to walk towards the noise until someone iumped out of nowhere and punched me in the face I fell backwards landing on the ground. I then heard a voice it was a girl with reddish brunette hair and with bright green eyes she had a blue flannel "who are you what are you doing here" I heard the girl said in a stern voice I then spoke up "i- I was just pacing through I wasn't trying to make trouble I'm just trying to find a place to wait out the blizzard" she starred at me with this soft look in her eyes she put her hand out offering to lend me a hand up so I took her her hand and stood up dusting myself off.
"I'm ellie williams and your name is" she questioned I spoke up "my names y/n it's nice to meet you" I said softly she gave a nod "you may stay in Jackson " I raised a eyebrow "Jackson?" "Yeah Jackson that's what behind the gates it a town loads of people live here you may as well but you must prove yourself" I nodded and smiled softly "yes of course what do I do " I said despite the fact I barely knew her I had nowhere else to go "you'll go on Patrol
Tomorrow until then follow me"

Ellie's pov

I found this girl I accidentally punched her in the face because I thought she was trying to attack the town she was very interested in my facial features I didn't understand why though she had h/c h/l hair she was she had bright e/c eyes she was wearing a a black baggy shirt with ripped blue jeans i helped her up of course and I offered her to live in Jackson with the rest of us I brought her inside the gates making our way to Tommy and Joel. "So how old her you y/n" I turned around to her I saw her look up at me "I'm 18" she said in soft tone that made me smile I've never heard anyone's voice that soft "oh that's cool I'm 19 " "Yeah that is cool" she said excitedly we finally made it to where Joel and Tommy were "Joel Tommy this is y/n can she live here she will be going on Patrol Tomorrow with me and most likely Jessie" I heard Joel speak up "yes of course Kid that's alright nice to meet you y/n I'm Joel and this is my brother tommy"

Y/n's pov
Joel spoke with a soft tone he seemed like an alright person well more then I've seen in most parts of my life I then turned to ellie because I don't know why but I felt safe with her i trusted her I saw Ellis turn her head towards Me with a soft smile "well I'm going to take y/n to meet jessie and dina I'm pretty sure they broke up again" she chuckled we then both turned facing the door and ellie started walking towards the door and opened it she walked out and waited for me to get outside I waved goodbye to Joel and Tommy and walked outside and stood next her "dina is a bit much don't mind what she says alright" I nodded
