Lan Wangji stared at the bright blue sky while waiting for his best friend to come.

The entire campus went into turmoil because of the sudden confession from Lan Wangji. Even Lan Xichen, the head department, rushed to the scene after hearing one of the lecturers tell him that day.

He was excited to see his little brother suddenly had an interest in someone.

But he was flabbergasted.

'I'm sorry. I'm not interested in dating alphas. And we've just been known each other for a very short time, so no thanks.'

Lan Wangji was rejected by Wei Wuxian who ran away after saying that he had to go work part-time quickly.

Lan Xichen saw the indifferent face of Lan Wangji but he knew his brother had been broken-hearted. He patted Lan Wangji's back several times and cheered him up.

'Wangji, it's okay. Don't worry, there are still many people out there.'

But Lan Wangji didn't give up. The next day they had a class together, Lan Wangji asked Wei Wuxian again. And the next day as well. Again and again. And agaiiiin.... Until Wei Wuxian finally gave up and said.

'I told you I'm not interested in dating alphas. So I can't accept your feeling.'

'But I don't mind if we become friends.'

That's what Wei Wuxian told him. Lan Wangji agreed and confronted him once again.

'But I won't give up, Wei Ying.'

'I will definitely make you fall for me.'

Lan Wangji said seriously. Wei Wuxian just sighed and shook his head. He gave up.

Wei Wuxian waved at Lan Wangji who waited in front of their university building.

"Wei Ying."

"Did you wait long? I'm sorry, the professor surely took his time for the lecture."

"It's okay. Shall we have the lunch together now?"

"Sure. Let's have spicy chicken wings for lunch today."

Lan Wangji flinched.

"Again? Wei Ying, you'll get stomachache if you eat too much spicy food."
