"Nicky! Cmon, how long does it take for you to put on your Chanel?" Janus called out from the foyer, irritated and tapping his foot in impatience waiting with his Abercrombie and Fitch backpack in hand. Today was the siblings Nicholas Jane and Janus Bechtel's first days at their respective schools. And for a first day of back to school, Nicky was taking too long. Why? Well, first and foremost: he woke up very late with disheveled hair. Then Janus had to take up too much time in the bathroom shaving his beard which was uncommon since he had a lot of body hair. Both Janus and Nicky were teens with Janus being 18 and Nicky being 17. One year gap, but to Nicky, Janus acted like he was already in college. Assertive. He was exactly that.
"Coming, Jesus Christ! Will you shut up, you act as if you're not the one who spent the last 3 hours picking out perfume to go with and spent the whole morning shaving your beard!" From Nicky's tone, he was really angry. I mean....come to think of it, Janus reprimanding him for taking too long with shoes? He's the one who took too long in the bathroom and in his closet! So Janus over here, can leave Nicky alone with his Chanel pumps and get over it. As Nicky walked down the foyer adjusting his pumps and his hair, his dad Bernard had just finished drinking coffee and his mom Roseanne had just finished blow-drying her hair at the downstairs bathroom which was pretty big for the ground floor of their mansion. Guest convenience, I tell you. Janus rolled his eyes at Nicky which earned him a jab in the waist from the pissed off aforementioned boy.
"Ow! What the fuck- Nicky! Not cool!' Janus sighed and irritatedly rolled his eyes before opening the door to the Rolls Royce that his father chose to drive today. Why? Company party. And he had to make a "fine impression", so as he said earlier. Okay, Bernard. Roseanne hurried at the front seat with her Gucci bag on tow and her YSL coat as well that was literally slung on her arms. Bernard put on some FM radio once Roseanne, Janus and Nicky were all in the car whilst starting the Rolls Royce.
"You guys ready for today? First day of school!" Bernard called out to Nicky and Janus at the back from his driver's seat. Bernard was dressed smart for the company party, full outfit complete with cufflinks made out of Sterling silver and a Vacheron Constantin watch he bought from Paris last New Year, during the Bechtel family vacation/ New Year's party. Roseanne was dressed casually for her modelling gig complete with Christian Louboutin shoes and a Gucci bag. This only earned a nod from both of the siblings, to which Bernard just snickered off.
The car ride ended up in a 1 ½ hour ride from their mansion to Bell Highschool, Janus' current high school. Bell Highschool was big and spacious with a wide gymnasium and a clean, wide canteen. Outside and inside, there were a lot of student stereotypes. The working class kids, rich it girls, mean girls who are also cheerleaders, nerdy boys who somehow some of them have boyfriends in the jock group, the basketball jocks who appear to flirt with some of the nerds (one tall scruffy jock was literally French kissing a small nerdy boy, lifted up against the lockers.) and etc. Janus snickered and pushed Nicky ever so slightly which earned a jab from Nicky. Janus was a member of Alpha Tau Omega, even from middle school. He had the current Alpha Tau Omega shirt under his varsity jacket which screamed "I'm a jock and yes, I'm not afraid to tell everyone."
50 minutes from Bell Highschool was Nicky's university, Brent University. Brent was in terms bigger than Bell. The university was more of for the rich people although it was also inclusive with working class scholars who have received a prestigious scholarship from the university's dean. In terms of students? They were all rich, but there was still inclusion. Of course there were the it girls with their Lady Dior bags, Chanel shoes, designer clothes and jewelry. There were also the mean girls in short skirts, very risque outfits and were snappy. Coming towards the university entrance were groups upon groups of jocks: basketball, football, baseball. At least the quarterbacks here weren't as loud. Frat boys and their trucks blared along the entrance, shouting.
Bernard observed the place and gave one look at Roseanne, who has already leaned over Bernard's shoulder and was slightly observing the university as well.
"Nicky.....are you sure about this? God, the noise-"
But what Bernard doesn't know was that Nicky was already shuffling the contents of his red Louis Vuitton Vernis bag apparently trying to look for something: lipstick. Thank god for pockets that he's found his favorite which was the Gucci Rouge a Lèvres Voile Sheer lipstick. It was a soft, sweet pink shade perfect for a first impression at school. He swiped it on his lips and put it back in his bag. So much for getting ready. He slung his Balmain coat on the crook of his arms and opened the doors of the Rolls Royce out into the pathway. But before he went in to start his first day, he leaned on the driver's side and requested his father open the window.
"Hey dad. Don't get too drunk, okay? Mom. Not at least 50 shots at once. Bye guys, see you later."
Bernard chuckled and leaned in to recieve a kiss on the cheek from Nicky, while Roseanne laughed at herself and waved at him. After a few light-hearted laughing, Roseanne and Bernard have left on their own to attend matters of their own such as company parties and modelling shoots. Now Nicky was infront of Brent University with two bags: one Louis Vuitton and one Hermes bag. This was going to be hectic, he thought.
Oh well. If it's hectic then whatever.
