Chapter 3: More Secrets...

Ashwick watched in utter horror as he saw his 'fellow Partizan' corner his Mistress onto a wall. Although Madeline walked confidently as Jamie did so, Ashwick felt himself fuming.

'Tell me, Stephen, what don't we know?' Jamie growled.

'A model Partizan, indeed, Volk. Maybe it's the fact that our names aren't actually Madeline Stephen and Ashwick Theodore and that it's actually Mitsuri Seiren and Akimitsu Takumi!' his Mistress had replied.

She'd left another clue for them, he thought. Does she want them to figure out our secret?

'Anything else?'

'Nope!' She smiled, so much wane in her voice that the two Partizans flinched. She knew exactly how to make herself sound like as if she were saying, please goddamn stop talking to me.

'We have new information,' said Jamie to Lottie.

They were in a quiet part of the library, so no one would interrupt their research.

'Great! Tell me!' Lottie said, the same wane in her voice like Madeline's that it sent shivers down Jamie's spine, although his brain was denying it. 

'Now we know that their 'dyed' hair is actually natural, and that their real names are Mitsuri Seiren and Akimitsu Takumi.'

'Wait! I remember seeing something from a baby naming website!'

'Why on earth were you in a baby naming website?' asked Jamie, clearly flushed.

'Don't be silly, Jamie! It was to pick names for Ms. Kuma's essay! Now, quick! Let's visit it....!'

As they scrolled through the variations of names (definitely with a bit of talking Jamie into this), Lottie suddenly said, 'Look! Mitsuri can mean love and moonlight!'

'Do you think, that perhaps Moonlight is her real name? That she's leaving clues for us?' Jamie questioned.

'Perhaps, but maybe not.... Ahh!' Lottie jumped when she felt something touch her shoulder as Jamie swiftly caught Lottie in his arms, clearly surprised.

'Binah?' she asked as Jamie lowered her down.

'Yep! What were you two doing?' she smirked, seeing them clearly embarrassed (yes, even the cold and kinda very rude Jamie).

Before they could respond, she walked over to the computer and said, 'Baby names? Is Lottie pregnant with Jamie's child?

Jamie and Lottie: '...'

Technical difficulties...

'Baby names? What does that have to do with them?' Binah asked. 

'We're trying to figure out if there's a secret meaning behind their names!' Lottie replied.

'What about their last name, Seiren?' Binah said, pointing to their notebook.

'Yes, it means...' Jamie said, scrolling down the list of names. 'Royalty!' he exclaimed.

Lottie gasped. 'Secret, undercover royalty like Ellie?!'

'Shush!' he said, lowering his voice. 'We don't want people to know about Ellie! That's why we made you a Portman, isn't it?!' Jamie whispered.

Binah smiled. 'It's probably nothing. What about Akimitsu Takumi?' 

'Akimitsu also means royalty....' Lottie said. 'And Takumi means sea!'

Binah thought for a moment. 'The prince of the seas? That's what I like to think about him.'

Just then, Madeline came in the library. 'Binah!' she called. 'I need help here!'

'Oops!' she said. 'Gotta go! Catch you later!' she said, as she left for the door.

Suspicious.... thought Jamie.

Meantime

'Any info?' asked Madeline.

'Yes, that Ellie is the real Maravish Princess and not Lottie.'

'Good, now I know who to get revenge on...' said Ashwick.

'Ashwick!' Madeline said as she nudged Ashwick.

'Sorry!' he shrugged.

'Anyways...' Madeline started. 

'Good girl, Midnight...' she said as 'Binah' morphed around until she became her original form, Midnight. P.S. Midnight is Madeline's sister!
