Family time

A/n this is just a filler chapter really for you to understand more about his family. .... also if you think im making Dylan be too rough with Zach im going to try and make him more understandable in the next chapter so dont judge him too harshly.... okay, sorry for interrupting.

Ahhhh Saturday. The amazing small slice of heaven that comes at the end of the week.

I crawled out of my bed and when the cold air hit my skin I dove back in. yeah..... that's not happening.

My stomach growled in protest.

carefully sliding out of bed with the blanket still wrapped around me like a warm cocoon I padded softly down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Kari was cooking pancakes!

"Oh sweet lord up in heaven I love you ma'am." I threw my arms around her effectively capturing her in my cocoon hug.

"Oh I love you too sweety. Why don't you sit down, eat some breakfast then get dressed." She twisted the burner to the off position.

I cocked my head to the side like a dog.

"Are we going somewhere?"

"Oh! yes. we have to go pick up December and then we're going to the mall. You can't keep wearing Dylan's clothes you know. they're waaayyy too big for you!" she giggled at that last part.

"Who's December? " I asked after a moment of pause.

"Oh she's my daughter she goes to school at an academy so she doesn't get to come home often but its winter break for them." she smiled obviously she loved her children.

I began cutting up my pancakes in shoving them in my mouth.

"Mmmmnnnnn that's so good." I closed my eyes enjoying the bite sized heaven in mm my mouth.

"And I thought you only said that to me." a husky groggy voice whispered in my ear as they nibbled on it.

I shivered and then realized what he implied.

"Oh god!" I started choking on the pancake. He just chuckled and walked off. Damn him.

"Ohhhhh." my mouth hung open.

"Oh baby you're pretty."

I circled the fancy sports car once more.

"Hun, we're gonna be late if you keep ogling my car." Kari giggled from next to the driver side.

I snapped out of my trance.

"oh! right sorry Mrs. Moore." I ran to the passengers side and got in.

"Hun, please. it's Kari." she smiled at me.

Madness by muse started playing out the speakers as the house got farther and farther apart.

I don't know when I fell asleep but Kari woke me gently telling me we were there.

Opening my eyes I gasped, A huge castle like structure was looming over us. it looked like those castles in Scotland

A large sign was posted stating "welcome to Preditos Academy."

"Uhm. Kari?"

"Yes?"

"What kind of school is this?"

"Oh yes, it's an all girl academy and it's praised for its extremely gifted students. It was wonderful when December told us she had been accepted." Kari smiled at the memories but in her eyes I felt like there was something more she wasn't telling.

'its no business of mone to pry.... besides im learning more about Dylan....'

"Well where is she?" I asked directing the conversation away from those memories.

"Oh, any minute now..." she looked down to her watch.

finally the gates slowly began to open. out steps a beautiful girl who seems to be my age.

She has dark brown hair in beautiful curls and steely blue eyes.

Her face brightens and she smiles wide.

running the rest of the way she tightly hugs her mother.

"Mom! I've missd d yo- Who's that?"

her eyes lit up as she checked me out.

I suddenly felt really uncomfortable.

They did know I was gay.... right?

oh Geesh am I going to get kicked out for being gay AGAIN?

"Hun, this is Zack. he's staying with us. now isn't that great?"

"yeah that's great." she said as she checked me out again.

"Uhm. yeah so Im Zack, I go to school with your brother. ..." I trailed off hoping she would say something.

"Yeah! Right, Im December." she held out her hand and I shook it.

The whole ride home December asked me questions about myself and we actually have a lot in common.

She told me all about her boyfriend Alec and how they'd been dating for 2 years.

Im still not sure if she knows im gay or not though and fear is beginning to creep in.

What if when I tell them they decide they don't want me anymore? I really like it here....

watching out the window I find myself become more and more nervous.
